Dorothy began to pick out the tasks that were not particularly difficult; they were just a bit repetitive and somewhat tedious, and then assigned them to her three friends.
Of course, because she had Alice, the poor student among them, Dorothy took extra care to explain the principles and techniques of the magic in detail while assigning the work. She was very thorough; if this explanation were a class, it would be titled "Magic 101 Even the Muscular-Brained Sister Can Understand."
However, when she asked her three friends if they understood, the reactions she received left her somewhat speechless.
"I understand, sister. I'll work hard at it," said Little Alice, who had initially been expected to hold them back, but she was the first to nod her head, indicating her understanding.
