"Found the entrance we're looking for," Remarked Rende, as a loud clatter echoed out as the pile of crates collapsed as the trapdoor opened up. 

Those goggles, and that vacant look in their eyes...it's an Alter, their mind broken and their body being controlled by someone else. 

"Yeah, it seems we have," I replied, turning my gaze towards the Alter as I raised my left hand towards the five survivors and fired out several narrow, powerful Blood Rays, cries of agony ringing out as I turned their bodies into Swiss cheese with my beams. 

She and I then swiftly sprang away as the Alter suddenly fired out a couple of projectiles at us from his hands...are those bones? I see, he can fire out his own bones as piercing projectiles. 

His head was shaved, his body skinny and covered in scars, and of course, he had those goggles over his eyes, stitched right into his skin.
