章 79: diligent pupil

"Ugh!" I plopped down on the ground, as exhaustion rolled off me in waves.

"I can't do it." I pouted while whining a little, falling flat on the cool marble floor of the huge training room.

My muscles were sore as a result of continuos training, and all I wanted to do this moment was to sleep in Ares' cold sheets.

"It's ok, you don't have to over exert yourself." Ares walked towards me from the side of the room, where he was providing me with instructions that I diligently followed.

.... ok, I tried.

But it wasn't working!

"For now, we know that stone increased your strength, speed, agility, and stealth. And if a person attacks you with their ability, you can use that ability to attack back."

He sat besides me on the ground and I laid my head on his thick thigh, making myself comfortable in his lap. He smooth fingers massaging my hair did wonders as I felt all the knots in my mind drifting away.
