Sky hadn’t changed much, appearance-wise. I’d always liked that she was tall and athletic, just like most she-wolves were, and back then, I’d stupidly believed that the goddess had heard all of my prayers when it turned out that Skylar was my mate. She was everything I had wanted in a mate. Blond, beautiful, and rumored to be somewhat of a queen bee. That she was someone, who knew what she wanted and went for it, even when she was just barely 18.

Before her birthday, I hadn’t really paid much attention to her. Hell, she wasn’t even on my radar, considering that she was technically a minor. Besides, there was more important shit going on in my life back then and my attention wasn’t really on women. But I had counted myself lucky to find my mate so easily, considering how much hardship some people had to go through before finding their mate.
