As the battle raged on, Auric watched in amazement as the knights fought with bravery and skill. He had never seen such a display of strength and magic before.

Sir Richard unleashed a powerful blast of fire that seared through the trolls' defenses, while Lady Sarah summoned a gust of wind that sent them stumbling backward.
The knights moved swiftly and gracefully, dodging the trolls' strikes and launching counterattacks. Their weapons glinted in the sunlight as they struck with precision and purpose.
Auric watched in awe as the battle raged on, feeling a newfound respect for the knights and their abilities. As the battle wore on, the ground around them became pockmarked with craters and rubble.
The knights fought with unwavering determination, their faces set in grim determination as they battled against the trolls' relentless onslaught.
In the end, the trolls were badly injured and defeated. Just as the knights were going to kill them, Auric suddenly remembered his order.
He had wanted the trolls captured alive so that he could kill them himself. He shouted to the knights, "Wait! Don't kill them! I want to do it myself!".
The knights respected his wish and captured the three trolls alive. Auric approached the trolls, who despite being badly injured, still had their fierce look. The weak Auric was somewhat scared looking at those humanoid monsters.
As he approached them, Auric felt nauseous because of the smell they were emitting, but he suppressed it.
"Sir Thomas, how do I kill them?", Auric asked a knight. "Ah, young master, you can behead them or put the sword in their hearts." Hearing this, Auric took out his short sword and slit the throat of a troll. Auric heard a notification from the system but ignored it.
He felt nauseous for the first time killing a monster. The trolls' eyes, which had an angry but also pleading look in them, showed their intelligence, making him vomit.
The knights were worried. "Young master Auric, I think you should not kill the rest. We will kill them ourselves. The toll of killing will be too much for your mental health!"
"No! I will kill them myself." Hearing him, the knights thought that maybe their comments had attacked his pride, so they kept quiet.
Even though he said that, his hands were trembling, remembering the scream of the dead troll and also hearing the cries of the other trolls.
Looking at them, he saw tears in their eyes, he thought maybe they were his family... but he reasoned that he must kill them.

In the future, he would surely have to kill monsters, rakshasas, and even humans.
With this motivation, he killed the remaining two.
After killing them, Auric remained silent for some seconds and then looked at his shirt in which blood was splattered. He took off his shirt and then threw it into the campfire.
Washing his bloodied hands, Auric then returned silently to his tent.

As he closed his eyes, he suddenly remembered their expressions when he killed them. "They must have been a family, huh?" Auric thought to himself again. But he realized that this day was bound to come. The day he was born into this world, it was determined that he was bound to kill one day. Living in the estate and dealing with the curse, he may have forgotten that this was a dog-eat-dog world, and there was no sympathy.
There were already three enemies trailing him, and even though they had not attacked him yet, there was no guarantee they wouldn't try to kill him tomorrow. Auric sighed, thinking that there was no need to think too deeply about this. He didn't have the power to change anything right now. If he dies, he dies.

Auric told him he had just had a nightmare, and when he looked behind the guard, he saw the knights and multiple guards. Giving them an apologetic smile, he sent them away. The guards thought to themselves, "Who the hell screams 'yes' at a nightmare?" But Auric was too excited to think about those things.
His gloomy emotions from earlier had evaporated with the thought that he was finally going to lift the curse. He only needed 1200 more SP, and it would be fulfilled!
