Reese's eyes refocused as he wiped the sweat from his brow. Taking a deep breath, he looked at Kaiser and the others, his voice carrying a mix of weariness and determination. 

"I'm fine. Just got lost in some old memories, is all. Don't worry about it." 

"If you're feeling better, could you explain what you meant by 'wars till now'?" Alia's inquisitive voice brought the conversation back to its point of origin.

Reese nodded, a heavy expression on his face. "Sure, but not without a drink." With a practiced motion, he removed the cork from a wooden bottle and took a deep swig before again speaking. 

"Ahem! I heard this from one of the warriors who came to this village while travelling. He had been fortunate enough to survive the gruesome old wars that were against the demons."

The three adventurers looked intrigued hearing this. While Karna could tell that fortunate person was Mr. Reese himself.
