"Damn, really?!" Matt was surprised by the revelation. Kate never talked about buying anything expensive for her mother all this time. She simply said that Hilda got an allowance from her because she was old and didn't have enough pension money, unlike Mary. 

"Yes! God, I'm so angry at her for hiding this stuff from me!" Mary yelled. "How come she sends a lot of money to her Mom but not to her mother-in-law? I am her dying mother's caretaker. I should be paid at least ten grand per month too!"
