When Alicia's laughter echoed, Henry's expression turned even grumpier. His face took on a stormy look like the heavy clouds of a rainy June day.
Sitting close to Henry, Ginevra was clueless about what was going on. Spotting Alicia's ongoing focus on the glass bottle in Henry's hand, she also gave it a curious look, then asked, "Uncle Henry, is that bottle made of crystal? Is it valuable? I remember seeing a similar one in a European museum a few years back."
Henry just grunted, hiding his emotions but bubbling with irritation on the inside. He was a man who cared a lot about his image, but now he was feeling embarrassed because of this young woman. He was being bombarded with questions from all sides.
The door creaked open.
Louis walked in casually.
Catching sight of Louis, Henry motioned him to the empty seat next to him, "Louis, come sit over here."
The seat was next to Ginevra. His intention was to bring Louis and Ginevra closer.
