章 163: A De La Rue Too

Maya smiled at Gabriel and slowly nodded. 

"Of course, baby, you can be a De La Rue," she told her son as she kissed him on the head and hugged him tightly.

Gabriel turned around and hugged her tight, he then got off her lap and moved to his father's, and hugged Nathaniel.

"I'll have my people start the process today," he said, smiling brighter than Maya had seen since his arrival. 

Something in her gut told her that letting Gabriel use Nathaniel's name would mean a lot to Nathaniel, and even if they would be father and son no matter what, she wanted to give him it.

"So I'll be a Miller and a De La Rue after today?" Gabriel asked his father.

Nathaniel slowly nodded, making the little boy jump in delight.

To their surprise, he suddenly stopped and froze, with his head hung low Nathaniel began to worry. 

"What is it, Gabriel?" Nathaniel asked his son as he lifted the little boy's downtrodden head.
