As soon as the boys were ready to go, Nate brought them to a nearby fast food chain, something that caught Maya by surprise.

She had half expected him to take them to some fancy restaurant with the boys all dressed up, but no, he chose something that both Eric and Gabriel would enjoy.

He didn't even do anything over the top, he just ordered whatever food they wanted and they sat among all the other kids with their parents.

While Maya helped Eric with his food, Nate helped Gabriel. It was times like these that Nate and Gabriel truly looked like they were father and son.

She couldn't help but wonder how Nate hadn't figured it out, Gabriel looked like a miniature version of himself. Gabriel had also inherited his intelligence, and the little boy was already showing signs of being a natural-born leader.

"Is there something on my face?" Nate asked Maya as he looked up at her and smiled.
