章 36: Chapter 36: The Nine Serenities Rulers plot together
In the depths of the Nine Serenities World lies a being of unparalleled power and malevolence, a being known as the Nine Serenities Ruler. This ruler is not a physical entity, but rather the embodiment of all negative energy that exists within the realm. The ruler has absolute control over the Nine Serenities and all of its demonic inhabitants, who obey its every command without question.
A ruler is the embodiment of all evil, destruction, disaster, death, and bloody slaughter, and their influence extends far beyond the physical world, touching the very essence of the soul.
One of the most terrifying aspects of a Nine Serenities Ruler is their aura, known as Soulcutter. Merely being in the presence of a ruler is enough to induce a feeling of intense fear and dread, which is enough to make any Seventh Stage or lower unconscious. Listening to their voice can transport one's mind to a hellish world, where all manner of terrifying things flood the senses. Looking at their body can cause one to see mountains of corpses and seas of blood, with demonic entities dancing around in chaotic ways. They are the source of all chaos and the world's greatest evil.
Each Nine Serenities Ruler is a collection of all the negative energies of the world, given form and consciousness. They have absolute control over their domain, with all the demons of the Nine Serenities obeying their every command. They are not to be trifled with, as their power is beyond measure. Even Eternal Life Beings kneel and beg for mercy when they meet one of them.
There are currently six Nine Serenities Rulers in existence, with the most recent addition being the current ruler. But what many do not know is that all of the previous rulers still exist, despite the common belief that they are dead. They have gone into hiding, thanks to the plot of their Heavenly Way counterparts. This plot goes against the four laws of the Nine Serenities, but the Heavenly Ways have managed to keep their involvement a secret.
The disappearance of a ruler is an occurrence in the Nine Serenities World, that happens every time a new Heavenly Way ascends. Following the Heavenly Way's ascension, a new ruler comes into being, the previous ruler disappears. It is believed that all the previous Rulers disappeared alongside their Heavenly Way counterpart, but in truth, they all survived and went into hiding, due to the plot of their Heavenly Way counterpart.
Currently, after having heard the content of the present world's Sermon, four out of the seven rulers gather at a secluded location. The atmosphere is thick with an eerie energy, as if the very air itself was infused with the malevolent power of the Nine Serenities. The location is hidden deep within a forbidden zone, where even the Heavenly Way can not intrude into.
The first to arrive is the Seventh Nine Serenities Ruler, Ruler White. As he enters the room, the air around him seems to darken even further, and the negative energy becomes almost palpable. He takes a quick glance around the empty room and spots five dark thrones that have been placed in a circle. Without hesitation, he strides forward and takes his seat on one of the thrones.
White is incredibly good-looking, to the point that words alone aren't enough to describe him. His jet-black hair hangs behind his back, and his eyes are as bright as stars, incredibly attractive. The body of White possesses a magnetic charm, and no living creature can repress the urge to look at him or get deeply attracted by him. He wears black clothes made from the pure energy of the Nine Serenities, which have been condensed together. One can feel the purest 'evil', 'filth', and 'wickedness' emanating from them.
The Seventh Ruler is unique among the Nine Serenities Rulers, having also been the Sixth Nine Serenities Ruler before and even now he still exists simultaneously with the Eighth Ruler, forcing him to share half his authority and jurisdiction over the Nine Serenities with him. He has already ruled for two Heavenly Way Era's, a feat no other ruler has achieved before him.
The second to arrive is the Second Nine Serenities Ruler, Ruler Three Eyes. Three Eyes is a tall and imposing figure, with a cloak that covers most of his body, leaving only his head exposed. And that is where the mystery lies - Three Eyes is obsessed with eyes, and his cloak is adorned with dozens of them, each one seemingly alive and watching everything around them.
Despite being called the Second Nine Serenities Ruler, Three Eyes is actually the oldest and most ancient of all the rulers. He rarely speaks, and when he does, it is only to ask about the eyes of others or to make a cryptic statement about the future. But even in his silence, his presence demands respect and fear. He proceeds to the empty thrones, selects one, and sits down, his cloak rustling as he does so.
The third to arrive is the Third Nine Serenities Ruler, Ruler Kui. As he enters the room, his dragon form towers over the other rulers, and his presence commands respect. His scales shimmer in the moonlight, and the black and white patterns on his body give him a regal look. Kui's single legged form is imposing, and his piercing blue eyes show a hint of wisdom beyond his years.
He then transforms into his human form, Kui's appearance shifts into that of a young man with a tall and slender build. He wears a pure white robe with a lifelike blue luan drawn on it, exuding an air of sophistication and elegance. The sleeves of his clothing are relatively large, and the lower hem also very long, giving him a sense of grandeur.
Kui is also known as the father of Cheng Lin, a fact that not many know about. As he takes his seat on one of the remaining empty thrones, the atmosphere in the room changes.
The fourth and last to arrive is the Fifth Nine Serenities Ruler, Ruler Reincarnation. As she enters the room, the other three rulers turn to acknowledge her presence. Reincarnation is the only woman among them, but she carries herself with the same level of power and authority as the rest of them.
Reincarnation's role is the overseer of the cycle of reincarnation created by the Fifth Heavenly Way. After her counterpart disappeared, she was tasked with this for all eternity. She is often quiet and contemplative, taking in everything around her before making a decision.
However, there is one thing that Reincarnation is not quiet about, and that is her deep hatred for the Fourth. She despises him for his every action in the past and made sure that he was not invited to participate in the <Ninth Heaven Saint Domain prosperity Project> by revealing his plot to destroy All Heavens and Myriad Realms.
Reincarnation takes her seat on the remaining empty throne, her eyes scanning the room as she waits for the meeting to begin.
After all arrived, the four rulers are seated on dark thrones, surrounded by twisted pillars of black obsidian that seem to pulse with an unnatural energy. Each ruler exudes an aura of pure malice and destruction, and their eyes gleam with a madness that is beyond human comprehension.
As the rulers gather, they exchange wary glances, each aware of the others' immense power. They may all be evil, but their current domains are vastly different. In the past, before they became rulers, some have been known to clash with one another. However, the prospect of joining the <Ninth Heaven Saint Domain prosperity Project> has brought them together.
The atmosphere is tense, with each ruler waiting for the others to make the first move. Finally, the ruler known as Ruler Reincarnation steps forward, her long black hair flowing behind her like tendrils of darkness. "We are all here for the same reason," she says, her voice dripping with malice. "To secure our place in the new world order."
The other rulers nod in agreement, their eyes fixed on Ruler Reincarnation, waiting for her to continue. "Heavenly Way White has given us an opportunity to be a part of something greater than ourselves," she says. "And I, for one, am not going to let it slip through my fingers."
One has to know that in the past after the gathering of the present world, Heavenly Way White invited six out of the eight rulers to join the plan. He even used his jurisdiction that he retained after failing to transcend the Heavenly Way, to allow them to gather in this secret location once the right time has come. Aside from Heavenly Way White, only the nominal leader of the plan, Zenith Heaven Emperor, knows about the ruler's involvement.
