"Hey, you'll be out front first. Notify us if you notice anything suspicious." George, who was riding in the front with Bai Tian, said to him as they left the city.
"Sure." Bai Tian took a seat in the front with the carriage driver, who was a middle-aged man. Meanwhile, George went inside the carriage to do whatever.
The escorts in the rear carriage did the same, and it turned out to be Dennis who was on watch.
Since there was nothing to do, Bai Tian decided to cultivate using White Dragon's Breathing Art, slowly increasing his experience.
Several hours later, they left the tree lines and entered a vast and empty grassland. Besides a clear dirt path that had been created through countless years of usage by travelers and merchants, there was only grass and weeds as far as the eyes can see. Occasionally, one would see a wild animal or two, but it was oddly free of monsters.
Paths that are commonly used by people are heavily patrolled by Adventurers to make sure as few monsters as possible disturb the travelers. They achieve this by slaughtering every monster in sight near the path. Of course, since these areas are not guarded 24 hours and monsters eventually respawn, some monsters inevitably make it to the path and disturb travelers.
Then there are rare monsters with unnatural strength that spawns from time to time. These elite monsters cannot be dealt with by the average Adventurer and require more effort, so they take a little more time to deal with unless it's an emergency.
Bai Tian's escort team managed to travel six hours without encountering any problems.
"Slow down, there's a monster up ahead." Bai Tian said to the driver.
The driver narrowed his eyes at the front, but he couldn't see anything, let alone monsters. He turned to look at Bai Tian, and to his surprise, Bai Tian had his eyes closed, almost as if he was napping.
"That isn't a funny joke." The driver then said with a frown on his face.
Bai Tian did not respond and remained silent.
A minute later, Bai Tian opened his eyes and stood up.
"What are you doing?"
However, the driver's eyes widened the next moment, when a large monster walking on two legs suddenly appeared in the distance.
[Green Ogre] [Level: 61]
This Green Ogre was as tall as three adult humans, had thick arms, dark green skin, and a really ugly face beneath its bald head.
"An Ogre! It's a Green Ogre!" The driver shouted out loud, alarming the others.
All three carriages quickly came to a halt, but not before Bai Tian jumped off the carriage and straight towards the Green Ogre.
When George and the others came out of their carriages, they were shocked to see that Bai Tian was already confronting the monster.
"Does that idiot have a death wish?! Green Ogres are at least level 60!" George cried out loud after seeing this.
Ogres are a species that many Adventurers find difficult to handle because of their strong innate strength that could easily overwhelm even tanks, not to mention their tyrannical nature that will not stop fighting until the very end.
When Bai Tian arrived before the Green Ogre, he immediately started slashing at it.

The Green Ogre's skin was tough, but it wasn't as tough as the Abyssal Spider's armor, and within seconds, its body was covered in bloody sword marks.
The Green Ogre swung its thick arms rampantly in anger, smashing holes in the ground and creating gusts of wind. However, none of its attacks could reach Bai Tian, who was gracefully evading all of them.
The escort team was so surprised and mesmerized by his movement that they forgot their purpose and could only stand there and stare at him with loosened jaws.
<You have inflicted Bleeding on your target>
<Bleeding: The inflicted will take 1% of its maximum health as damage every 3 seconds>
Bai Tian slashed his sword at the Green Ogre over a hundred times in less than 30 seconds. This was achieved without using any skills, but that was not how the spectators saw it.
Eventually, after several minutes of relentless attacks, the Green Ogre fell to its knees with a loud thud, but it was still breathing.
[Dragon Rush]
With one swift and powerful strike, Bai Tian severed the Green Ogre's head from its neck.
<You have dealt a Fatal Blow>
<Green Ogre defeated>
<You have gained Experience>
<Leveled up>
<You are now Level 33>
<Ogre Tendons was dropped by Green Ogre>
<Ogre Skin was dropped by Green Ogre>
[Ogre Skin]
[Grade: Uncommon]
[Description: Rough and dry!]
[Ogre Tendons]
[Grade: Rare]
[Description: Great for making bow strings!]
After picking up the items, Bai Tian turned around and began walking back to the carriages, where the escort team were still frozen in place, almost as if they had turned into statues.
"Sorry, that took a little longer than expected." Bai Tian said to them in a calm voice before jumping back onto the carriage and taking his seat, leaving them absolutely speechless.
However, when none of them moved, he continued, "What are you guys waiting for?"
Without knowing how to react, the escort team could only silently return to their carriages and ponder what they had just witnessed.
'What an interesting fellow…' The black-haired servant thought to herself.
"Is everything okay out there? It's awfully quiet." Jewel suddenly asked from inside the carriage.
"Yes, everything is fine. There was a Green Ogre blocking the path, but it's already been taken care of. We will be moving again shortly."
"A Green Ogre, you say? We must've hit the jackpot with our escort team for them to deal with such a threat so quickly." Jewel said in a surprised manner.
"Actually, it was defeated by one individual."
"What?! Who?!" Jewel's surprise turned to shock.
"That Martial Artist."
"Huh? No way. You must be messing with me. There's no way a Level 32 Martial Artist could defeat a Green Ogre by himself in such a short time."
"I am telling you the truth, Madam."
The carriage became dead silent after that.
