"This place is dangerous. I mustn't lower my guard. I should heighten my senses to detect any lurking danger," Veer thought.

Then, suddenly, he felt an intense desire to kill himself. Reacting swiftly, Veer leaped away from his previous position just in time to evade an ice spear that was headed for him. The spear hit a nearby stone instead.

His eyes locked onto a snake about 5 meters long, distinguished by a red line beneath its eyes and black scales covering its body. The snake stared back at Veer with a predatory gaze, seemingly eager to devour him.
With caution and alertness, Veer prepared to confront the dangerous creature that stood before him.

Seeing the spear falling right where he had been, Veer quickly assumed a battle stance, scanning the direction it came from. His gaze fell upon a snake about 5 meters long, its eyes marked by a red-colored line, and its body covered in black scales. The creature stared at Veer with a menacing gaze, seemingly thirsting to devour him.
"Wait, I've seen this monster before; it's a black ice snake. But why is it so small? As far as I can remember, it should be at least 10 meters tall," Veer pondered to himself.
"HISsssss...."
The snake monster let out a loud roar, and a black light emanated from its mouth. Then, with a massive boom, spears of ice, each about 1 meter in size, came hurtling toward Veer.
"I have to avoid these attacks," Veer thought, quickly channeling both his mana and internal energy to enhance his speed. He vanished from his original position, leaving an afterimage behind, appearing about 3 meters away from where he had been.
"Phew, I have to defeat this black ice snake monster, or else it will kill me. Judging by its power, it must be at least rank 3," Veer strategized.
With determination, Veer rushed toward the monster with incredible speed. With another booming sound, Veer swung his blade at the black ice snake monster's neck. However, to his surprise, the blade made a metallic sound upon impact, leaving no visible blood or wound on the creature.
"What is this? Why doesn't my blade flow into its body?" Veer wondered, when suddenly, a realization struck him.
"Boom!"
In an instant, Veer was sent flying, crashing into a cave wall.
"Ah, its strength and defense are stronger than I expected. What should I do?" Veer questioned, finding himself faced with a formidable foe.
With his back against the wall, Veer faced the black ice snake monster's relentless attack as it launched yet another ice spear towards him. Reacting swiftly, Veer summoned his mental power to stop the incoming spear in mid-air, an astonishing feat that surprised even himself.
The black ice snake monster, witnessing its own ice spear suspended in the air, showed signs of bewilderment.
"Is my mental power surpassing even my mana and internal energy? I had sensed before that this fusion of mana and internal energy would yield a stronger force, but this is beyond my expectations. Since there's no one here to witness it, I must make the most of this advantage," Veer contemplated in his mind.
Seizing the moment, Veer hurled the ice spear back at the black ice snake monster. Simultaneously, he commanded his six mini knives to engage, ready to assail the formidable foe. However, controlling all six knives simultaneously proved to be an immense challenge. The knives collided with each other in mid-air, complicating Veer's efforts to direct their trajectory.
"Darn it, controlling all six at once is more difficult than I thought," Veer acknowledged, recognizing the need to adjust his approach.
Despite the challenge, Veer managed to maintain control over two of the knives, renewing his attack on the black ice snake monster. As he threw the Heroic Ice Spear, it found its mark, hitting the monster's mouth and causing it to bleed profusely. The creature's agonized howls echoed through the cave, reflecting its fury and pain.
"Running all six knives together is too demanding. For now, I should focus on controlling just two," Veer decided, maintaining his composure and adapting his strategy to best utilize his newfound mental power.
