章 32: Chapter 31

"When you don't take into account the shity villagers, Uzushiogakure truly has its own charm." Standing atop one of the tallest buildings in the village, Shinku released the few moments he had left until Akame arrived.

His garments fluttered in the wind as the sun beemed down and gave his skin a bronze luster.

"Sorry I'm late, I wasn't expecting you to call me up here so early in the morning."

Landing behind Shinku, Akame smiled and approached the railing, following Shinku's gaze to the sea side.

"I spoke with the other Shinku last night when you knocked me out."

"Oh, that is certainly interesting. Though I'm unsure what that has to do with me."

Shinku shifted his gaze to Akame.

"He told me what he could about himself and how I came to be. Though there were quite a few holes that I'm assuming only you have the answers to. I want the truth, Akame."

"I told you, when you're str-"

"Stronger? It hasn't been long since I found out my power was sealed by 'you'. I nearly died because I couldn't unleash more of my strength. Give it to me straight." Interrupting her words, Shinku narrowed his gaze.

"What did you do?"

"..."

"Answer me, Akame."

"When I was a child, I was born with three... unique Kekkei Tōta. One allowed me to travel through multiple dimensions separate from ours, and the other were the Chains of God." Shifting her gaze to Shinku, Akame reached out and took his hands into her own.

"The final one was similar to clairvoyance, I saw the destruction of Uzushiogakure at the hands of other nations, along with the attack of otherworldly beings with strength reminiscent of a gods.

I was scared... I still am, honestly. But I believe you can stop them, I know you can save Uzu or even the world if the stories I heard about you are true."

"Those were stories of the former Shinku, I am not him. He's... Even as a soul, he's a beast. Though, how did you come to hear of him?" Allowing Akame to take his hands, Shinku shuddered as he recalled standing before his other self.

"Like you, I had another soul within me. Though she's gone now, She was the soul of a more mature and possessive version of myself. She said she was a mother to one of the greatest gods, a man she would love even in death."

"How'd you do it?"

"

Come with me." With a warm smile, Akame tugged for Shinku to follow her as she led him from the rooftop.

"My mother and I are quite intelligent, coupled with the guidance of my other soul. In an underground research facility on the outskirts of Uzu is where we created the perfect being... the hero that would save us..."

Following closely behind her, Shinku's gaze lingered for a moment on her smile.

'Hero... what a nauseating word.'

"Over the years, I used my Kekkei Tōta to travel across multiple dimensions, gathering precious materials o use in the construction of a 'god'." Leaping from the rooftops, the two eventually reached the lifeless outskirts of Uzu.

Akame pulled up a hatch lid, buried under some dirt, revealing a ladder.

Leading Shinku down and through the maze like passages that led them both to a somewhat large but bare room. Traces of useless and discarded equipment were strung about.

"This is where it all started. The place you were created."

'You're truly lucky my daughter is interested in you, else I would have already destroyed you for the trouble you have caused her.'

"I wasn't born here though, was i?" Taking a few steps deeper in, fragments of Ruri's voice filled Shinku's mind.

"It's faint, but I do have some recollections. I destroyed the facility one I first awoke." Grazing his fingers against the dust filled ground.

"After I had finished my training in Konoha, we transferred you along with the entire facility to a nearby island. Before then, I had... nightmares... about you and your power. I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to control you when the time came and that you would destroy Uzu."

Shinku turned toward Akame with furrowed brows. His displeasure with the thought of being control was natural, though he can't blame her entirely.

'Hmm. Just the thought of how life would be if our souls had never crossed realms at that time.'

"Then let's get the move on."

"Yeah." Noticing the subtle shift in Shinku's demeanor, she nodded and reached out for his hand once again.

Taking her hand with his left, Shinku pulled her closer and wrapped his right arm around her waist.

"I'm not mad that I was born in a lab, I'm upset that you pointlessly hid something like this from me under the pretext of me needing to be stronger."

"I... I was scared. I love you... but I was scared of what you would have done..." Burying her face into Shinku's chest, Akame rightened her grasp around Shinku's hand.

'Twenty-eight..." There are twenty-eight different ways I could kill you right now. You're so vulnerable... And yet you're no older than Orochimaru and the others...'

. . .

. .

.

"This is it." Akame gestured to the scorched debris and ruble of a facility from the day Shinku awakened.

"That day, the systems had malfunctioned, and you were forcefully awakened. With only part of it all going according to plan, I immediately wrapped you in chains to seal you... to make you subservient to me...

But I wasn't strong enough. You were too strong and eventually caused the facility to explode. Your first soul had inhabited the body and was enraged, claiming we caused him to lose all that he loved." Alame watched from behind as Shinku stepped into the ruins.

"While he was certainly frightening, something unexpected occurred, making things slightly easier. It appeared as though a second soul came with him, and he willingly took a backseat as he altered your incomplete body.

While the new soul let out his bottled up rage... you fought five powerful Shinobi in our own rights and humiliated us. So much had gone astray from the plan, but we still made it work."

Standing in front of the destroyed stasis pod, Shinkunshifted his gaze to Akame as she gripped her left elbow in hand, uncomfortable with mentioning what had transpired that day.

My palm freezes mid pierce, only creating a superficial stab in her right breast when I leap back a few dozen meters holding my head in pain.

"Oh dear me. It looks like Daddy needs to punish the babies, HAHAHAHAHA!" I reluctantly withdraw to the subconscious world and give control to the evil that lived within me, allowing me to concentrate on remolding the body

"Good, you're up. I have a question, who should I fuck first?"

"You're a monster."

"Demon!"

'I guess not everything was wrong.'

Fragments of his awakening flooded into his head one by one, painting the picture in full for him.

Putting Iroh and Shiratama in a dear death state, raping Akame, her mother, and... Eto... or rather their clones, being sealed by Akame when she bit his neck. The pain that coursed through him when she did so...

'I'd be afraid too, if I was in her position...'

"It's alright, you don't have to continue. I more-or-less remember what happened, even up to Kirigakure..."

'It seems Kiri found little interest in Nobu and I, else they would have stopped us from leaving if they attached any importance to her.'
