When Abigail arrived a minute later toting an armload of gowns, I almost laughed. It was all so unbelievable. So perfect.
David was going to be mine? He was really going to be my husband?
I felt giddy.
Then Abigail, whose smile was almost as big as mine, started laying dresses out on the bed for me to choose from.
My eyes immediately jumped to the ivory-colored gown, and I gasped. It was stunning. Definitely the one I would have chosen for this day whether David requested it or not.
The dress was made from a fabric that managed to flow like water, yet held real weight.
Abigail saw me admiring it and smiled.
"Yes, I thought that would be so perfect with your coloring. Let's try it on," she said softly, then lifted the dress and carried it towards the full-length mirror on the opposite wall.
