章 107: Meet the team, part 1

By the time Cael came to this conclusion, the sun was already setting down. He had to find a room in an inn and continue his search another day.

The next day continued in a similar vein as the previous one. No matter what group of people, they all gathered in places where one could easily find both food and drink. Wizards in a watering hole, bandits in a bar, mariners in a mug house…

Under the blistering summer sun, both Cael's beard and his wig made his skin sweat mercilessly. They also scratched like hell. He stoically ignored all that as he walked the streets and the pubs and asked people about the bounty that he found yesterday.

Eventually, people pointed him towards one particular pub and an unhealthily pale man that was sitting in a corner. He was nursing a cup in his hands and staring into nothingness. A Mage's Mark over his heart had three pieces of green glass in it.
