章 69: Hand of death, hand of mercy

Federico's state hasn't changed since Cael's last visit. In truth, Cael wasn't sure he could do it. But he could try his best, at least, for this crippled man.

But first, Cael explained to Federico what he was about to do.

"Devilry…" Federico muttered in disbelief. "It's true what they say about you, then? Blood rituals and demonic power…"

"Does it matter where the power comes from if it heals you?"

Federico fell silent. After a minute, he sighed. "No, it does not. Do what you have to. I can't get much worse, anyway."

Cael nodded and cut his arm. Finding a part of skin not covered in bandages to put it on was a challenge, but Cael passed it. Then went a spell. System was already warned to heal him in time, and a sheet hovered in the corner of Cael's eye, showing how much BP he had left.

This time, Cael wrangled it into existence only from the second attempt.
