"I will help you conduct the blood oath, " Xerek offered. I remained frozen on the spot. Shocked by what I thought went down when Xerek fed on Zephirin. 

Xerek stood from the pool, the veins in his eyes and face darkened with resentful energy. The resentment felt familiar. It was Zephirin's anger towards me, he was feeding off of it and using it to fuel himself. 

He descended the three stairs before touching the ground. A chill ran in the room at his step. It was the earth dreading the devil's touch. 

Xerek looked into my eyes. 'He can see me, ' I knew in my heart. It was a coincidence that he looked in my direction. He did everything knowing well that I was watching.
