Richard was awake earlier than Daisy. The man, wearing only white shorts and shirtless, stood pacing the terrace trying to contact Clinton.

"Clinton!" said Richard when he connected with his confidant. "Have you solved the stupid spy problem yet?" he asked.

"Em, I managed to save her but..."

"But what?" asked Richard anxiously.

"Um, there's a chance that they won't be hiring Ferdinand there anymore," Clinton said, sounding worried.

Richard frowned for a moment. "Why? How come?"

"Well, I'll explain everything…."

Richard sat in a chair, facing forward with an ambitious look.
