Nidia turned her head and raised her eyes to the man, asking lightly, "Have you had dinner yet?"

The man's face didn't look good, his jawline showed a tightness that was on the verge of erupting.

"Not yet", he lowered his head and noticed her bandaged fingers. His brows furrowed, "Is that what you mean by it's okay, and that you don't even need to bandage it after sterilizing because it didn't bleed anymore?"

Nidia didn't reply, shrinking her fingers into the sleeve of her shirt to keep him from seeing any more.

The water was boiling.

Nidia poured a cup of hot water and held it in her hands. This became her protection, while the man stood behind her throughout, and didn't do anything else.
