"I.. that.. You.." Rowan hesitated. Why? She was no one. It was not like he had never killed anyone. He had done far dirtier things.

"We do not have time to waste, Rowan. Kill her now or we will inform your grace that you are with this woman." The knights looked annoyed and bored but Rowan could not get past her disappointed eyes.

It would have been easier if she was angry. But she was still smiling as if it was not a big thing. But the pain in her eyes was haunting him.

"Look, i do not know who you are but this is your last chance to run. I will handle them. So go." he whispered in a low voice so only two of them could hear it but Ana shook her head and hugged him.

"I am here to save you. Where will i go if you do not come with me.'' The words held so much emotion that Rowan felt heavy by them. They weigh his heart like a large rock was thrown on him.
