"Alistair and I never had a ceremony when we got married." She told him once they arrived at their room. "I didn't experience dressing on a beautiful wedding dress and walk down the aisle. My parents weren't with me and I married him despite Myrtle's objection, but I'm glad it's different now."
"Did Uncle Reese agree to walk with you?" Lennox sat down at the edge of the bed while Adrienne stood before him, keeping his hand to hers.
"Yes," Adrienne beamed a smile. "He said he thought it would be Hunter giving my hand away, but he was honored that I considered him instead."
"Your father can never be half a man your Uncle Reese is," Lennox said, his tone serious but warm. "I know it's not easy for you to talk about your past with Alistair, but I want you to know that I'm here for you, Addie. Always."
Adrienne's eyes glistened with tears as she sat down next to him.
