Adrienne laughed inwardly, thinking how bold Valerie was to make such a statement before Alistair Han. Wasn't Valerie afraid of offending this man? Anyway, Alistair wasn't too petty to make things difficult for Valerie and make an enemy out of the Xia family. 

Meanwhile, Adrienne had already expected that her Uncle Reese would be unwilling to marry her off this early.
