"I'm sorry," Hunter eventually said. "Had I known you'd react like this, I would have told you sooner."

Adrienne shook her head. The one who should apologize to him was her. She tightly clenched her fists on her sides. Even though she experienced a lifetime of torment, she never thought she had lost more than she knew from her previous life. Before her was the man, the older brother she had that they lost even before her birth. As she thought about  this, a rush of uncontrollable rage burst from the depth of her heart.

So it turned out that Camilla and her father had plucked them out one after another. They started with her mother, then she followed suit. Adrienne couldn't imagine how Hunter had suffered in her past life, oblivious of the scheme being pulled against them. Her entire family was taken advantage of and disposed in the end. How could Adrienne remain calm after knowing this?
