I was merely focused on her tail rather than her actions, I just stared at it in wonder as it wagged happily behind her like a dog seeing its owner, that was the best way to describe it. And her fox ears were constantly twitching too.
"Sophie, remove your unworthy self away from the master, where are your manners?" A menacing voice came through and it came from none other than the pointy-ear lady, her words matched her expression and it was enough to make anyone shocked from it.
The little child called Sophie turned her head to her while still gripping my owner's leg and stuck her tongue at her.
And a growl left her.
"Muster, Elvenia is being meanie again," she said with puppy dog eyes matching her pouting face.
I heard a chuckle which came from Severus and the pointy ear lady now known as Elvenia gave Sophie a drop-dead look that sent a shiver down my spine.
My owner... William... Just saying his name in my head sent a weird feeling to my body. He descended his hand and I quickly shut my eyes because I knew he would smack her for acting disrespectful to him and I didn't want to see such, I was hoping to hear a smack but rather I heard a purring sound. Purring?
I was forced to open my eyes and I found William patting her head gently, my eyes trembling at his affection towards her for I did not expect it or was it just a simple gesture?
"Sophie what did I tell you about your pronunciation" he intoned in his deep smooth voice.
"Muster?" She tilts her head to the side.
"Elvenia"
"Y-Yes master!"
"Are you putting Sophie through her studies?"
"I am master, but she's stubborn and won't stay put, perhaps permission to teach her a lesson when she misbehaves"
"I want Muster to teach me only," Sophie pouts.
"Now now Sophie you should not disturb the Master with your unwanted presence," Severus said and she shot him a deathly glare. I was really finding it hard to convince myself that Sophie is 3.
"Manners Sophie," William says and she sighed letting him go with remorseful looks.
"Master... you have brought a new one," Elvenia said, seeming like she just caught sight of me.
"Careful Elvenia" Severus says. "This one is not like the rest of us" he offered a bow to me and my features turned puzzled.
Elvenia's eyes seemed to widen in realization and she faced me before curtsying. "Forgive me for my rude behavior for not recognizing you earlier," she said in a respectful tone and it stunned me.
I hear the geta taps as Sophie matches towards me and places her tiny hands on her tiny hips, her tail standing upright behind her and I just stare at her with an unreadable expression.
She points at me. "Muster mate!" she yelled with an angry face. "You will take Muster away from me!"
I just stared at her blankly, what is mate?
Severus walked to her, giving me a curt bow before grabbing Sophie by her collar.
"Forgive her rudeness," he says in a smooth tone as he pulled Sophie away and as she kicked and hissed at him.
"Sophie is uncultured. I will make sure to straighten her up master," Elvenia said diligently.
"Come Ava" Williams words to me as he walked ahead and I followed behind, I noticed Elvenia looked over at me and I didn't like the look she gave me, it made me feel unpleasant but I pushed the feeling aside and focused more on my surroundings.
We were in what looked like a grand hall, the entrance of this mysterious place, with the biggest chandelier I have ever seen at the top with thousands of lit candles. I was in awe as I studied it before descending my eyes to the twin curved staircase we approached so grand and so spotless.
Even my bare feet felt the smooth polish and it caused a heavenly feeling to my body. I enjoyed the warmness it brought for my feet. I had only known about the cold for a year, this was a different feeling altogether.
I was hoping it would last longer but it didn't and we were off the stairs and walking on an unknown path in this mansion, I just followed silently the only sound being the walking stick my owner held.
I thought he had a bad leg or something for his need for it but it didn't seem to be the case, it was a fashion for him I guess.
I don't know how long we walked for I have lost count, I just kept my eyes on the floor watching my feet. I wonder where he was taking me. The anticipation was killing me and I got tired of trying to mark every hall we turned. I yawned.
That was when I heard the sound of a door opening. I raised my head, sighting a large door barging open and we both strolled inside.
I gasped when I saw a stream. It was so beautiful and shiny... the water spilling from the rocks, the green grasses around it, curving around the round stream and then up ahead, the snow season, the stream was a beautiful sight. And the moon was at its highest, full, and shone on it making it more magical. When did it get so late? Even the moon was out or was it a different timeline altogether?
William turned to me and uttered one command that caused my brain to go numb.
"Strip!"
