章 237: Volunteering to Work

Hershey observed the soldiers while eating the food they provided. All of them were well-equipped, even those she believed were support personnel.

"Hey! Stop looking at them." She heard someone whispering to her.

Hershey immediately lowered her head and continued eating in silence.

Abner moved closer to her and said in a whispering voice. "What do you think will happen to the boss?"

Hershey stared at him and replied with furrowed eyebrows. "I don't know. These people are from the military, but there is something different about them. However, we should be safe as long as we have their protection."

"Can we trust them?" Abner asked as he sneakily took a glance at one of the soldiers.

"They went out of their way to rescue us from the supermarket. We should trust them." Hershey responded.

Abner no longer said anything. He just ate his food quietly while thinking about what future lies ahead of them.
