Arissa had difficulty speaking.

A lot of words assembled in her mind to give to him as a reply but the problem she had was how she would let them out without giving herself out that she wanted to spend her days with him. 

Nicklaus stood straight. He stared into her eyes for a short moment and said. "What do you want? You can tell me about it," his voice and expression now soft. 

He was ready to listen to whatever she wants and if it should be something within his power, he would make it possible. 

Arissa's face turned sad. She closed the distance between them, "I do not want you doing anything with my parents," 

Nicklaus's face dropped and so did his emotions. His eyes hardened and so did his heart. 

Nicklaus pinned his blazing eyes on her. He held her arm and harshly dragged her to himself. 

"Why?" he growled at her, "I am your husband, who do you think should protect you at this moment if not me?"
