Cassia finally talked!

Accompanying her mother alone in the bedroom, a relieved Liliana was glad to be able to talk to Cassia again. She let her mother express her confusion, disappointment and exasperation.

"I feel terrible... even until... now..."

Liliana understood the reason for Cassia feeling disarrayed. Her mother was presented with the cold and hard truth behind her parents' untimely demise decades ago.

Still, Liliana genuinely thought Cassia's strength and determination pushed her mother to discuss this issue earlier than expected.

"Have you thought what you want to do, Mom?"

Liliana's voice was low in the quiet bedroom, barely audible to Cassia. She held her mother's hands as they sat on the two-seater couch. Her eyes never left the older lady's pallid face.

'What do I want to do? I want...'

Cassia bit her lower lip. She silently recalled everything she pondered during her sleepless night yesterday.
