Liliana's lips curled up as she read the text sent by Lucas. She had just received it when she was getting ready to leave the sanatorium.

With a swift movement of her finger, Liliana sent him a reply.

Rising up from the chair, Liliana adjusted the blanket covering Cassia. With a smile, she told her mother that she would come to visit again.

Then, Liliana made her way out of the sanatorium. Her destination was the lake. She liked the idea of meeting Lucas after visiting her mother. The chaotic state of her mind inevitably lessened at the thought of it.

Summer was nearing its end. Autumn would come soon, bringing along the breathtaking foliage. Surely, with the changing season, her life also would undergo one of its own.
