章 231: His Brief Presence Was Cemented Into Her Heart

Unable to contain her curiosity, Liliana headed to the Shen ancestral home the next morning. She dropped by the cafe for a while. She brought Lucas' bestseller cake and a mixed fruit pudding with her.

The cab arrived at the Shen ancestral home around eleven in the morning. Liliana's appearance was greeted by the maids. They had been notified about her visit by Madam Ma.

There was no sight of Shelley anywhere. Liliana didn't know whether the woman was still in the country or had returned to her husband abroad.

But, it was better if she avoided that woman as much as possible. Nothing good ever came out of her former mother-in-law's mouth whenever they crossed paths.

"Where's Grandma?" asked Liliana while handing the paper bag containing the cake and the pudding to one of the maids.

"Old Madam Shen is waiting for you at the greenhouse, Young Madam," the maid replied with a polite bow, "Shall we escort you there?"
