章 115: Chapter 115: Tarvan Jewelry

Who is Gracia?" She asked sitting up."

"Was that all you heard?" Simon asked her walking towards the bed.

"How else am I suppose to hear a word when both of you were barely audible. I had to strain my ears to hear the name Gracia." She said. "Who is she and what happened to her?"

He got to the bed and took a seat beside her. "Gracia was one of Anna's client a couple of years ago. They were a bit close cause Anna helped her through few tough moments." He replied.

"And now?" Paige pressed on.

"And now, she paid us a visit courtesy of June. She came with her mother, to attend June's wedding." He said to her.

"And?" She asked.

"And we don't allow strangers into the mansion unless on very rare occasions where there is absolutely nothing we can do about it." He said pulling her close to a hug as he sat beside her on the bed. "What else do you want to know?" He asked kissing the tip of her nose. "You might consider constructing a questionnaire for easy question and answer between us." He said with a smile.

This made Paige laugh uncontrollably. "I need one seriously cause I have lots of questions that might require urgent answers from you." She said.

"Ask me such questions baby. You don't need to construct a questionnaire for them." He touched her cheek slowly taking his time to enjoy the smooth and satin feel of her face. "You are beautiful." He said again.

"Keep telling that more often and I might be tempted to make you crazy Simon kentley." She warned pointing an index finger at him.

"How crazier can you make me get sunflower. What's left? You taken over my thoughts, my dreams and much more. If there anything left, then you should take it my love. If it's possible, then I'd love to be crazier about you." He said smiling.

Paige listened to him speak. She watched his eyes closely to see how genuine he was. The eyes were filled with affection and something more. Something she couldn't put a name to. Obviously because she was yet to find the right word. Suddenly, she regretted all the times she wasted trying to explore her path with Frankie when she had someone like Simon who was willing and very ready to make her happy this much. If she will be honest to herself, she'll be truthful enough to know that she's never been this happy all her life. All  she could remember from her previous Life was pain.

It have always been from one hurdle to another, from one problem to another. Struggling to make ends meet, to keep her step family satisfied making sure that they didn't lack anything even when she wasn't sure where her next meal would come from, she'd always made sure that Veronica and Fernanda were never hungry. Remembering her step mother and sister, she smiled weakly. Few months ago, she was at their mercy, begging them not  to sell off the only property of her father they had left, slaving for them just to keep them happy.

"What's funny?" Simon asked her seeing the smile on her face. She finally shifted her attention to him with a cute smile.

"I just remembered my step mother." She replied extending her hands to him. "Help me up please." She pleaded. Simon stood up, held her outstretched hands and pulled her up from the bed.

"What about them?" He asked watching her move closer to the portrait of himself and his late father tha hung on his wall.

"I wonder where that are right now, what they are doing too. Most times, I wonder if they are living the luxury life just like they've always wanted." She said with a weak smile, now staring at a picture of little Simon with his father.

"Do you miss them?" He asked.

"What? Not all she laughed lightly. "I feel free and at rest knowing that there is absolutely nothing tying me to them again. I can now live and work at my own pace." She told him as he stood behind her with his hands crossed round her chest drawing her closer to him.

"If it helps, I know where they are. They are very safe and living their best life." He told her planting a kiss on her cheeks. Don't ever worry or get yourself worked up about them sweetheart." He told her planting another kiss on her cheeks.

"Hmmm, the great Simon Kentley, always snooping. Never the one to mind his business. Look how young and innocent you look in that picture." She said stifling a laughter.

"That'd better not be a laughter." He warned jokingly.

"Oh, of course not. It is a sound of admiration. Never heard the sound before?" She asked laughing.

"You joker." Simon called turning her over to face him. "Your sense of sarcasm is top notch. I love it." He said drawing her waist closer to him. "How the hell are you this beautiful when it's barely nine in the morning. What is your secret? I want to have a share." He asked seductively. Paige smiled happily as she leaned on his shoulder. The soft smell of his cologne felt soothing to her nostrils.

"You smell so nice." She complimented him gently lifting her head and arm up to hug him. As if in waiting, Simon quickly pulled her closer into a hug.

"Don't make me get a carton of this particular cologne." He chuckled. Paige's eyes wondered round the room as they stayed glued to each other's body. Her eyes finally rested on the mini jewelry box on his bedside drawer.

"What's that?" She asked pointing to that box. Simon turned and his gaze followed her hand to the black mini jewelry box on his drawer.

"Those are my cufflinks." He replied.

"Mmmm, let's see what we have here." She said freeing herself from Simon's loose hold and moved towards the box. The name on the mini box caught her attention. "You shop from Tarva Jewelry?" She asked turning to him.

"Yes." Simon replied walking towards her. "You know them?" He asked.

"Who doesn't know Tarva. They are one of the biggest jewelry brand in the world and they sell exquisite jewelry pieces. My stepmom once got infinity neckpiece from them. It has the most beautiful stones I've ever seen my whole life." She confessed and proceeded to open the tiny box. The sparkly and neatly stoned cufflinks graced her eyes. "Wow!" She exclaimed excitedly. "These are diamonds right?" She asked.

"No." Simon replied walking up to her. "It is made up of quality cubic Zirconia stones." He explained as he took the box from her and brought out the gorgeous cufflink. "Compare the shine to your earring abd bracelet, do they look same?" Tell me, does it look like diamond from your end?" He further asking placing the cufflinks on top of the drawer to help Paige get a clearer view

Shelooked at the gorgeous accessory and she couldn't different between them and the jewelry she own. "I can't even differentiate." She confessed. "I'd need to keep my jewelry and these in the same place to compare." She explained. "You can differentiate them, can't you?" She asked.

"Of course I can." Simon chuckled.

"Teach me, how to differentiate between a cubic zirconia and a real diamond?" She pleaded.

"It's a long one baby." He confessed. "You'd learn and understand it faster when you practice it. So, I'll definitely make out time to teach you what you need to know." He reasured her. "But in comparison, if a diamond and a cubic zirconia are the exact same shape, cut and physical size, the diamond will be lighter in physical weight. You can verify this by using a gemstone weighing scale. Also, if you look under a jeweler's microscope, diamond has carbon particles which look like tiny spots. Cubic zirconia does not have impurities. You can see a rainbow prism if a diamond is cut right when the light hits at a certain angle. With cubic zirconia this not true. Diamond shines so bright but cubic zirconia might become dull after a while. Most people might not notice this. But it is the truth. Real diamond remains the same for years but a cubic zirconia will not remain same. A quality one will fade gradually. You might notice little to no change in color as the owner. But in reality, it is actually fading. Not to worry, I'll show you. We have the whole year to ourselves." He concluded.

"Wow!" Paige exclaimed. "How do you know these things?" She asked.

"Because I am a jeweler and I own Tarvan Jewelry." He told her with a smile.

His reply got Paige shocked and extremely surprised. "You did what?" She asked with her mouth agap.

"You heard me." He repeated.

"But......, But, there is this woman, Romina Smith, she is the face behind Tarvan jewelry. It's on the news, her face is everywhere." She protested.

"Mrs. Smith is my business partner Baby. I choose her to be the face people sees because I want a quiet life. "All that social media paparazzi and popularity will do me no good." He said touching her cheeks.
