*********
In was the early hours of the morning before the Obvious rise of the sun and it's golden ray could be noticed across the sky, Paige drove her way down to Yardstin. The past few days have been hectic for her. From checking and balancing stock at 'PB', Packing her bags and making sure she doesn't forget anything, reporting to her workplace to pick up her leave permit which was successful with the help of Nat.
It was going to be a long ride but she didn't care. Having spent lots of money trying to get decent hands down Clothes and Shoes, she was almost penniless. There was no way she could afford to book a flight to Yardstin. Hence the reason she's on the road battling with mini road traffics and struggling with a road map. The engine of her Kia Rondo which she named Charlotte roared softly as they drive through the streets of Acubana. The gentle air sipped in through the not so closed windows of Charlotte.
Paige put on some music to beat the quietness. 'You're just too good to be true' by Lauryn Hill started playing. This was one of her favorite songs and she hummed to it.
Her phone alarm blared telling her that it was 3:00pm already. Just then, she saw the road sign that read 'Welcome to Yardstin'. She heaved a sign of relief.
"It's about time." She mumured.
Few more minutes into the ride, she was graced with gorgeous pine and Gmelina trees planted on either side of the road giving the road a calm glowy shade.
"In two minutes, take a right turn to Creek Island." The map said.
"We're here already?" She chuckled.
She took a right turn towards Creek island and was graced with beauty. The roads were tidy and sparkly. Pine trees gave way to Gmelina tress which equally gave way to palm trees and Oak trees spontaneously. Paige was blown away. Then she saw it. She saw the mansion she was going to spend three months in. It was sitting high up at the edge of the Island.
"Oh My, She gasped. "If she'd known this was how gorgeous the place was, she would have signed the contract faster" She smiled with the thought.
Indeed the picture Nathan gave her did not do justice to the house. Charlotte slowly came to a stop as her engines purred and Paige parked slowly in front of the Kentley's residence.
She spent the next few minutes inside the Car. Taking a mental note of all the cars in the Garage. Charlotte was the odd one amongst them.
There was the Lexus ES250, a Ford pickup, a Chevrolet and a Mercedes Benz all line up in the garage struggling for attention.
"Charlotte, your presence must be intimidating these wanna -bes. I pray they don't tell me to pack you behind the mansion cause obviously, they're feeling intimidated." She said sarcastically.
A knock on her window brought her back to reality.
