章 83: Double Cast

He couldn't figure out what she saw in him. It had only been a matter of time. He was now certain that Alhaji Usman would not allow Justin to marry her, which was very comforting.

How many guys can afford to buy their girlfriends a diamond ring for their birthday? He did it for her because he knew Justin couldn't afford a GL.

"I am asking you boys" "Who made you do this?" Alhaji Usman was about to finish his sentence when he noticed Petra run past him, she bent over crying and checking on Justin's health.

He saw a fierce love and guts that terrified him. According to what he saw, there was a lot that needed to be done to separate this baby couple.

"Father, we met them in an inappropriate manner in the dark." Abdul-Rasheed took a defensive stance. "You decided to take the law into your own hands, huh?" "What if you had murdered him?" He was enraged.

"Come on, Petra! "Get out of there." She stood up, still crying, and took a small step backwards, her gaze fixed on him.

"Are you hurt, young man?" Alhaji Usman asked without even bothering to approach Justin. What a ridiculous question! Justin pondered within himself.

"I'm fine." He said this while in pain. "I'm sorry for their insanity. I did not request that anyone do this. Allow me to get you some treatment."

Justin sat up, rested his head on his knees, and noticed his breathing becoming more even.

"I don't need treatment right now." He stated. "All I want to do is go home."

A car appeared out of nowhere. It was Mrs. Fatima. She couldn't keep up with them and realized they might need to rush him to the hospital.

She quickly got out of the car. She noticed Justin sitting on the ground, his  clothes already looking scruffled and filthy, but no visible injury. She rushed up to him and grabbed him. This was the first time Justin felt a mother had come so close to him and checked on him.

was the first time Justin felt a mother had come so close to him and checked on him. "That mothers touch is out of the world" Justin thought inwardly

"I guess you should go to the hospital." She said it with great care. "What did you do, kids?" "What made you think that?" Hajiya Fatima faced her children with so much annoyance and rage written all over her face.

"I'm fine, Mama." He pronounced the Mama in a way that moved her. "You can't be certain Justin." She stated.

"There may be internal damage." He shook his head as she spoke.

"If I'm taken to the hospital, they'll question me. I don't want to make things more difficult. They are Petra's brothers, which means a great deal to me. They are your children, which means a lot to me. I submit to  Allah to be in charge." He said.

This is my lot in life. I did not bring myself into this world, but I am paying the price. "I hope this is a test I can pass." He stated.

Hajiya Fatima felt tears streaming down her cheeks. This irritated Alhaji Usman. He didn't have anything personal against Justin but he does not like the fact that his own wife is already getting emotional for this street boy.

He despised him being in a relationship with his daughter. His only daughter! She was entitled to have much more better.

"I believe we should return home."  Alhaji Usman announced. "Thank you for your kindness, young man, and please accept my apologies on behalf of my children." Justin did nothing but nod.

Hajiya Fatima remained silent. She was determined not to cry. She loved and adored this boy but couldn't explain why.

"Insha Allah, all will be well with you." She spoke softly. "Leave your case to the maker of the universe."

"Thank you very much, Mama." Justin responded.

"Do not mention, my son." She stated

Aazim felt like bursting and exploding. What was the matter with this woman? Whatever, she was not going to give her daughter's hand in marriage, and the person who had the power to do so was standing behind him.

He was confident Petra would change her mind. It was simply a youthful zeal, infatuation, and childishness.

Justin rose to his feet to reassure her that he was fine.

"Thank you very much, ma." "Please accept this." She made him an offer of money.

"And don't even think about rejecting it." "Do not experiment with a mother's anger." She cringed for a split second when she saw his reaction.

She had no evil intentions. The word was 'mother.' She had addressed herself as a mother. This seemed strange to him.

He went to get the money, his eyes where already full of tears waiting to pour.  "No woman has ever referred to herself as my mother." he said with a groggy voice.

"You have just made my life more meaningful." She laughed. "I appreciate you accepting it and obeying me." She stated.

"And no one can stop Allah from making Petra your wife if it is His will." Aazim puffed up his cheeks.

"We have to leave." Alhaji Usman said. Justin took a few steps before turning to face Petra.

Their eyes communicated as she wove at him. A language that can only be understood by the heart.

After putting the money in his pocket, he walked down the street. He walked around the block, eager to get home and change his clothes.

Hajiya Fatima's actions put him at ease. At the very least, there were people who loved him for who he was.

"Daxy would have come in and there would have been four dead bodies on the ground if the man hadn't intervened," a voice from behind him said. Justin looked around to see who was speaking behind him.

"What exactly did you say?"

She pulled out a gun and pointed it at him.

"If the man hadn't arrived in time, we would have come and killed those bastards rough handling you."

"So you guys make use of guns?" "Have you not heard that Fulani herdsmen use guns when rearing their cattle?" She stated. "So why are you surprised?

This world is insane, so keep your eyes wide open and wide shut."

"However, I never ask anyone to protect me in that way." Justin stated...

"I'm not protecting you because I like your face. 'You' are important to 'us,' and anyone who fucks with you is fucking with us. And what the hell was the point of that?

I heard something about your lack of identity." she said.

"Exclude my personal life from this!" Justin stated.

"Who said you don't have a life?" "Now get your butt in this car," she instructed.

"We've got something special for you."

“What?”

"You know I'm not going to talk here. Th Chubby girl stated.

"I really need to go home." "I'm in desperate need of a good wash." Justin replied.

"If you want a Jacuzzi, we have one." We have an assignment for you, and as I previously stated, we have something new for you."

Justin paused. He recalled being humiliated and insulted. He nodded after looking at her.

"Please let us go." He indicated. "I'm in and will do whatever you want if you give me what I want from now on." He climbed into the car, and they drove away.

***************************

A man appeared as a spirit from a dark angle. He was short and stocky, with a massive head.

He stood there watching the car fade into the darkness until the taillights vanished. He took out his phone.

"They have taken him away." He stated. "We heard something about him not having an identity." “What?” From the other end, a deep voice said.

"He appears to be a young boy with an unknown identity." I'm pretty sure it's Justin. "His name is Justin as well." He stated.

"I'm not going to believe it." Doctor Abbas mentioned the other man. "Addy said he saw someone who looked like him, but I dismissed it."

"Follow up and always keep you eyes on him."

"I'm sorry they left, but here's a link." "A link?' "It appears that he knows a family." He stated.

"I'll get him for you, sir."

"Please do so. This is not a good sign." He stated. "We've come too far to turn back now." "I hope you understand what I'm saying?"

"Sir, yes I totally understand." "Remember how I chose Addy over him?" "Yes." "And we can't change it now." It is far too late.

There can only be one Justin, and that is Addy. We cannot throw away nineteen years of struggle.

I want to be certain that he is the one. His knuckles have a mark on them.

"How do we know?"

"The first step is to find him." The short man stated.

"Then you can leave the rest to me." Dr. Abbas moaned.

“Gajere.” “Sir.” " Do it quickly. "You understand what's at stake, right?"

"I do." When the call ended, Dr. Abbas noticed Addy standing there staring at him.

*****************

Dr. Abbas' POV

****************

"I was correct, huh?" Dr. Abbas inhaled deeply.

"We're not certain." He stated. " We'd like to confirm."

"I need an explanation now." Addy stated. "How can you choose me over your son?" What's going on, and why am I being treated as if I'm a king?

"How come I'm so important and making billions without even any effort?" Addy inquired.

"You are not ready to understand and assimilate all that information. The elders will tell you, and don't you ever say you don't work hard. You've been through rigorous training."

"Why was I given the name Justin Abbas?"

You're Abbas, and you gave him the name Justin. Why do you need two Justins, and who is the Abbas whose name I bear?

"Who are my biological parents?" Dr. Abbas exhaled once more.

He took three steps forward and sat on an easy arm chair overlooking his massive aquarium. "Please take a seat." He stated.

Addy walked over to a seat. He leaned back and rested his arms on his thighs. "I'm not in a position to tell you right now, but I will say this: You are a world figure." Dr. Abbas spoke calmly.

"Your real parents were killed in a plane crash in Bolivia..." he explained.

PETRA'S MUM AND DAD'S POV

*************************************

"You never told me you and Alhaji Ibrahim were working for your brother." Hajiya stated.

"Yaya my brother was the one who took care of us and trained us" . You are aware of this." he said.

"I knew he trained you, but the details are hazy." Alhaji Usman laughed.

"I told you that when he returned from abroad, he gave me six million naira."

“Yes.” "All right, it was just me and Ibrahim. We also assisted him in taking care of business. We started the importation business and made a lot of money.

We handled the business aspect because Yaya is more of an academic. He also connected us with the government, where I won several contracts before getting an appointment.

And you can see how far we progressed. So what's the harm in getting Petra married to Aazim to strengthen our bond?"

"Is that all there is to it?" Having her marriage arranged?" she inquired

"Arranged but not compelled." He stated.

"We'll give her time to fall in love with him. Remember, you didn't fall in love with me right away. It took a while. I'm sure your daughter will follow suit." He stated.

"You know you'll never make my daughter marry someone she doesn't love."

"I just said it." But be cautious." He stated. "She's not going to marry that boy."

"That is entirely up to Allah to decide for her." She explained.

"Where did your brother stay when he travelled overseas?" That's something you've never told me." She inquired.

WALTER'S POV

***********************

“Bolivia.”

It beeped and displayed the distance as fifty feet. Walter had been searching for the EBM in the hummocks since the morning. He was certain it was close.

He moved forward and pressed once more. Three feet tall. He noticed it when he turned his head. It was lying near a rock.

Images began to form in his mind as he saw the small electronic box.

This time, he noticed a round table, suits, and uniforms, including Army, Marine, and lab coats. He couldn't make sense of it, but he was certain he knew what it was.

If he and EBM were discovered here, not far from the ocean, there could be more to be discovered.

He moved deeper, and after another hour, he discovered the wreckage of a crashed plane. It appeared that no one had discovered it. It was a fatal crash.

“Aadilaaahh! Keep your grip tight! I've got him! We will succeed! Allah willing!" In Allah's name?

Was he a follower of Islam? Parachute! He smirked. They were on a plane with someone else. A pilot! A parachute! Yes! The pilot jumped out of the plane using a parachute! It was not by chance. Someone had planned against them to kill them. Why….

California, United States of America.

*************************************

"The EBM beeps!" a young petite lady yelled, her face pressed on a computer screen.

"The EBM is beeping." A man with a bald head approached her and paused. “What?’

"It makes a beep." The lady exclaimed excitedly.

"Are you certain it's his?"

“Yes.” She stated.

"However, he kept the code hidden. "I'm aware of the wave length."

"Well done, Gwen." He stated. "However, I'm not entirely convinced. "Where exactly is it?" She sat at her computer and fiddled with it.

"South 16.2902 degrees and West 63.5887 degrees." She stated. "It's Bolivia." The man with the bald head frowned.

Bolivia! Oh no! "When did you find out about this?" He inquired.

"The first beep occurred yesterday morning, but I was unable to obtain the wavelength."

She stated.

"Then it came up again this morning and continued to come up." I concluded that there was a gap between the EBM and the CS. The CS, for example, was used to locate the EBM.

The last beep indicated that they were getting close."

“Hmmmm…..” It made perfect sense to him.

"Does anyone else know about this?" he inquired.

"No one." She replied.

"Excellent work." He turned around and pressed her neck, breaking it with a single twist and leaving her lifeless body on the floor.

He went over to the CCTV camera and unplugged it before removing the tape. He knew exactly where it was. He was among those who helped to set it up.

He dialed a number and waited for the phone to ring.

"I have bad news." In a low, dangerous tone, he said.

"It appears that Abbas, the Nigerian comrade, is still alive." His EBM has been emitting beeps.

Bolivia is the location. Prepare yourself. We're off to Bolivia. I hope he's not still alive. This is not healthy for us."

"And how about Aadila?" From the other end, a female voice said. "I'm not even certain it's him.
