章 38: 38- Pyramid Dungeon

Noah had spread his senses all around the top floor. They were all alone on this floor. At the same time Mimosa had cast her Magic Flower Guidepost, and get a 3D blueprint hologram of the first floor

"There is no one else on this floor" - Noah

"That means the Heart kingdom mages have already searched this floor and took anything of value." - Mimosa

"How will we ever catch them? They will just take everything" - Digit

"No, the floors get bigger as we go. That means that they will take longer to search each floor, which gives us enough time to catch up" - Selena

Mimosa turned and looked at Kirsch, "You have to make a choice here. Should we skip all the searched floors and catch up with the heart kingdom as soon as possible, or should we search each floor thoroughly in hopes of finding something that slipped through the heart kingdom's search"

Before Kirsch could respond, Noah cut in "I think we should go and catch up with the heart kingdom quickly. Even if there is something that was left behind, it won't be worth leaving the lower floors"

"I agree. It's unfortunate that we can't get anything out of the top floors. Lets not waste any more time" - Kirsch said as he started running towards the entrance to the lower floors.

[Keep your senses up Draco. Maybe we find something left behind while we make our down the floors] - Noah

[Sure thing. But you should know that for some reason I can't sense what's happening in the lower floors.] - Draco

[I know, I can't sense the lower floors either. And from the looks of Mimosa's guidepost, it seems that she can't scan the lower floors either] - Noah

The clover squad made their ways to the entrance to the second floor. To make it to the next level, they had to go down dark and narrow stairs. The stairs were so narrow that it can fir one person at a time.

"Since I have the guidepost, I'll go first, and you should follow me" - Mimosa said as she started going down the stairs.

Kirsch was going to follow after Mimosa, but Noah grabbed him by the collar and pulled him back. Kirsch was about to complain, but Noah had entered the dark stairway. Kirsch followed Noah and kept complaining. Next was Selena and the last to enter was Digit. Actually Digit didn't want to enter the dark stairway, but Selena dragged him.

*Tingle*

Noah quickly grabbed Mimosa by her cape and pulled her back. He then put his left hand forward. Quickly a wall of black liquid formed before it hardened in an instant. Just as the black liquid became hard like crystal,

*BOOM*

A loud explosion shook the entire stairway.

"What was that!?" - Digit shouted from the back. He was startled by the sudden explosion he grabbed onto Selena

"An explosion, obviously" - Selena said as she tried to pry Digit off of her

Just as Noah was trying to put his thoughts together, he felt a weird weight fall on his back. Looking behind him, Noah saw Kirsch leaning on his shoulder.

'The hell?'

"Hey, Kirsch. What the hell are you doing" - Noah asked but no response came back

[HAHAHAHA] - Draco laughed so hard all of the sudden

[What are you laughing at Draco] - Noah was a little irritated

[This coward, Hahaha! The explosion scared him so much he actually passed out] - Draco

"What!" - Noah couldn't help but shout out loud.

"What happened?" - Mimosa who was in front of Noah asked

"Our great team leader had passed out from the explosion" - Noah said in a very irritated tone

"What?" - Mimosa said as she turned around to look at Noah before she continued, "Where is he"

"He's leaning on my back" - Noah

Mimosa reached her arms around Noah's waist. She can feel Kirsch leaning on Noah. "Wait, I'll try to wake him up"

Mimosa then cast a healing spell on Kirsch, in hopes of waking him up while Noah was still in the middle. Flowers sprouted from Mimosa's back giving a gentle glow in this pitch black darkness.

'What the fuck is this? Oh no!'

"Noah you perv!" *Slap*

Noah got flustered he tried to step back, but Kirsch was still leaning on his back. Kirsch's knocked out body had fallen down bringing Noah along with him. Selena who was still trying to get Digit off of her didn't notice this and she, along with Digit, stumbled over Kirsch and Noah.

"What the hell are you doing laying down in the middle of the stairway?!" - Selena shouted at Noah

"I wasn't laying down" - Noah snapped back

"Then what the hell are you doing there!" - Selena yelled

"I feel down obviously!" - Noah

"Why did you fall! You should be more careful" - Selena

"He fell because he's a perv who deserves to be punished" - Mimosa, who was the only one standing, replied

"There is a misunderstanding! I can explain, but let's reach the next floor first!" - Noah shouted.

[Noah you dog. I know you love those human fat sacks, but I didn't expect you to go and touch them once you have a chance like that] - Draco laughed

[Two things Draco. First they are not fat sacks! Second I didn't even know what I was touching] - Noah

[That is true, you have no experience with females] - Draco giggled at Noah again

[Alright Mr. Dragon player. How many females have you been with?] - Noah

[...]

[That's what I thought!] - Noah

[If I had as many female dragons around me as you have female humans around you, I'm sure I would've had a mate by now] - Draco had to get one last jab in

Noah rolled his eyes at Draco and focused back on getting back on his feet

A few minutes later the squad had gotten back up, though the order was different. Mimosa was still at the front, Kirsch was leaning on her shoulder this time. Followed by Noah, then Digit who was clinging onto him. At the very back was Selena.

'Fuck this mission. Fuck this dungeon' Noah didn't fight any monsters or enemy mages, he barely made it to the second floor, and he already hated this dungeon.

*10 Minutes Later*

The group had finally made it out of the stairway.

"I don't sense anything down here, let's just go to the level bellow" - Noah said right away, he wanted to change subjects about what had happened earlier.

[I'll keep an eye out for anything left behind] - Draco

[One thing, Draco. Was there any other entrance to the lower floors, other than the one we took? I didn't sense any.] - Noah

[No, I didn't find any other entrance] - Draco

[That trap we ran into, it was movement based, right?] - Noah

[Yes. The trap was activated when Mimosa stepped on a certain stair step] - Draco

[Then, how did the heart kingdom get past it without triggering it, unless it's a constant trap, so it will recharge and then fire again] - Noah

[I don't think that it was a constant trap. That trap was too destructive to its surroundings] - Draco

[Do you think it was the heart kingdom mages who came here before us?] - Noah

[That is the only explanation I can think of] - Draco

Noah became quite for a moment, [No, the mage at the entrance, and the trap, it's almost as if someone is trying to get us in a fight with the heart mages. We're being set up]
