章 122: Arc 4.39 Another parting

The ball in his heart cracked and the world stilled.

A shiver ran through Shen Jiyu's spine as cold dread sank into his stomach. 

"Su Liqin." Shen Jiyu cried, rushing to his lover's side. The world stilled as he ran, the sound of the barrier breaking was loud and yet a deathly silence seemed to envelope the entire realm, time froze and all living beings stood still.

"Xingan, it hurts." Su Liqin murmured as his pale body began to shatter. 

He raised a hand to touch Shen Jiyu, pausing when he realized that he could not, "Don't cry. Wait for me, I will find you again, I will always find you, I love you, Lao Gong!" Was he crying? He could not tell, his eyes were burning, It was difficult to breathe and it was as if sharp shards were piercing his heart. It hurts. 

Why does it hurt so much? He should be happy that he had successfully resolved Su Liqin's obsession but the knowledge did not make him feel joy. He felt so sad.
