章 45: The negotiation (End)
"How about I negotiate with you? Following your logic... Since I possess the power, you will now be mine for all eternity, otherwise, I will kill you, understand? Jacob Voss."
Jacob heard those words that sounded like a threat and reflected:
'What is happening? Why couldn't I feel her presence? And who the hell is this woman anyway?'
Kant began to smooth his beard as he awaited the outcome of that event.
"So, are you going to be mine? Or would you rather die here and now?" Lucifer spoke in a gentle tone in Jacob's ear, but that only caused more shivers to run down his spine.
Trying to regain his composure, Jacob asked:
"Who are you?"
"Who am I? Pfffff, in the past everyone knew who I was, but it seems that the humans of this age don't know... I am Lucifer."
Upon hearing the name Lucifer coming out of that woman's mouth, Jacob's eyes widened in surprise, but he returned to his usual cold expression and asked:
"Okay, so why on earth does the father of demons, or the mother of demons, want me?"
"I'm only interested in your body, after all, you remind me of someone from the past... A human who has no mana, but still possesses great power, is something interesting, don't you think?"
"Hm, I don't like the idea of you being interested in my body..."
"Oh, don't say that! I'll be gentle when I open your chest and rip out your heart."
Jacob was a little surprised by Lucifer's definition of gentleness, but he didn't dare speak up about it.
Noticing Jacob's silence, Lucifer began to tighten the hug he was giving him as he spoke:
"So, are you going to be mine?"
"Hmm, I guess I have no choice, right?"
"No, you don't have a choice."
"Then I am yours." After Jacob muttered those words, Lucifer stopped hugging Jacob and said while smiling:
"That's fantastic! Now... How about we negotiate, immanuel kant?" lucifer spoke while looking directly into Kant's eyes. The same just traversed his arms and replied:
"What does the king of demons, or the queen.... wants from this humble man?"
"I want you to be my dog, understand?"
"Hm, I don't have a choice, right?"
"No, you don't have a choice. But rest assured, I will kill the Holmes family and destroy the town they operate in, so our pact will be complete and you will be my dog, okay?"
Kant was thoughtful as he smoothed his beard about what to answer her and after a few seconds, he asked:
"You are negotiating alone, aren't you?"
"Negotiating alone? Are you crazy by any chance? I am negotiating with you."
Hearing those words, Kant started laughing and said:
"So that girl was right about you. You plan to destroy everything and everyone, don't you? Tsk."
Lucifer just smiled in response and asked another question:
"Which girl was right about me?"
"A girl who turned into a sword... She was very pretty by the way and her name was Anna."
"Oh? Did you know her? And where is this Anna? Do you have this information?"
"I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I don't know where she is."
Lucifer was discouraged after hearing that and said:
"Sigh, they're always so useless... Anyway, being a loyal dog, I want you to round up all the heroes somewhere in this city. You have up to a maximum of 2 months to complete this mission, do you understand me?"
"All right, I will do that, but are you planning to kill them?"
"Yes, is that a problem?"
"No, it's just that you are very powerful and will easily attract attention, so I think you better infiltrate and maintain a very loyal and devoted disguise to goddess Freya."
"Yes, I know that some heroes should be able to detect me, that's why I chose this human form so as not to attract attention."

"Good, then give Jacob what he had asked for."

"No."
Kant sighed wearily and nodded. Just then he began walking to the door as he spoke:
"I'll get everything ready, you can wait there." He finished speaking and walked out the door.

After Kant left, Lucifer looked at Jacob and said:
"Now it's you... I've heard stories saying that you roam the continent riding a white wolf, after glory and riches. So tell me, why are you after armaments and resources? Are you thinking of building an army?"
"Something like that..."
Lucifer was not satisfied with that vague answer and asked again:
"Why?"
"Because I have big enemies and I can't go on being small. But leave aside me... What do you want with me? It makes no sense that you suddenly want me."
"In the past, there have been others like you. Humans who were not blessed with mana."
"What?" Jacob was confused, after all, He thought he didn't possess mana because of God, but listening to Lucifer speak, Jacob began to create various theories and conclusions about himself and these other people.
"To be honest, this is not that shocking, because this is nothing more than a disability. Just like a baby is born without an arm, a baby can also be born without mana. Although it's quite rare, it can happen."
"Wait... If this is a disability, then why on earth are you interested in me?"
"My people believed that beings who lack mana, are outside the chains of fate. They thought it was a curse to be born without mana, but it is a blessing. And I want you because I want to steal that power for myself, understand?"
Jacob listened to everything and was thinking about what to answer her... After a few seconds, he found his question and said:
"And how do you plan to do that?"
"Hm, In the past, my people believed that eating the hearts of others, makes you receive their strength, so..."
"Hahaha, you're kidding, right?"
"I have a lot of faith that it will work out, so don't worry about it."
Jacob sighed regretfully upon hearing those words and said as his eyes turned yellow:
"So my new enemy is the devil himself?"
Lucifer noticed the physical changes in Jacob's body, she looked at his beautiful yellow eyes, but as she looked in detail at those eyes and the pressure they exuded, Lucifer cracked a beautiful smile of happiness.
Suddenly, her expression changed to pure excitement and she spoke:
"Those eyes! Now I understand! You're just like Varda elentarí, aren't you!"
"What?" Jacob was confused to hear Lucifer comparing him to Varda, but before he could do anything, Lucifer appeared in front of him and knocked Jacob to the ground.
The two would fall to the ground together, but Lucifer stopped on top of him and suddenly started kissing him.
Jacob didn't understand anything that was happening. He was confused, after all, a fight that was about to start, was switched to sudden kisses.
Suddenly, Lucifer stopped kissing Jacob and staring him in the eyes, she said:
"You are just like him... Now I understand why I can't feel you."
"What the hell are you talking about?" Jacob was trying to get up, to get out of that situation, but with his two hands, Lucifer placed them on his shoulders and pushed down.
Not having enough strength to match, Jacob gave in and lay down again.
"Hm, you are weaker than him, but I feel you will get stronger... Now I'm undecided about what to do with you."
"How about you let me go?"
"No big boy, I can't let a rare gem like you, escape like that."
"Damn... So what do you want with me?"
"Hm, let's see... I can kill you and eliminate a possible threat, or I can use you and have a child."
"I'm not excited to have a child with you..."
"Relax, our son will be something never seen before... A man with the genetics of Varda and me, being the most powerful demon in the world, easily our son will become the most powerful being in the world! His strength will be absolute! He might even be stronger than the gods themselves!"
'Okay, she's going crazy...' Jacob thought these words and said something to try to get out of that situation:

"Don't mind that, I'll go with..." before Lucifer could finish his sentence, kant spoke up interrupting her:
"If you guys want to get laid, you can rent a room. Each hour will cost two silver coins, okay? But get your dirty asses off my floor, before you contaminate it with these vulgar acts."
Kant started walking over to them and held out a piece of paper to Lucifer as he spoke:
"Here are the names of the people you have to kill. In black and white."
Lucifer was still mounted on top of Jacob as he looked coldly at the paper and spoke:
"Are you serious that you interrupted our moment, because of this?"
"Yes, then get it soon, because I have other work to do and I can't stay here playing house with you guys."
"Hoc caca..." Lucifer cursed Kant in demonic language and picked up the paper angrily. She then stood up and said to Jacob:
"We are going to continue, do you understand?"
"No, you won't... Jacob will need to take the goods now, because soldiers sent by the royal court, are on their way to the city because of some missing people... Anyway, Jacob will need to leave and you will need to kill the holmes family, do you understand?"
Kant answered in Jacob's place and started walking to the same chair he had sat in earlier and sat down again.
Upon hearing all those words, lucifer ended up interpreting it the wrong way and said as he released his aura:
"Are you giving me orders? You? A mere human?" Lucifer's aura was beginning to distort the reality around him. The ground was beginning to shake and Jacob reflected:
'Is that an earthquake?'
Kant did not show himself to be affected by such pressure and spoke:
"Orders? Me giving orders? No... Now go kill the Holmes family."
Those words were the trigger that made Lucifer kill Kant. But just as he was about to do that, Abaddon stepped out of the shadows and spoke to lucifer:
"Wait, sir! You will need his help to kill the heroes."
"But he talks a lot."
"I know, but according to our information, that's just the way he is."
"Okay, okay..." Lucifer stopped exhaling his aura and the earthquake stopped happening. Although he was still angry and wanted to kill kant, lucifer knew he was needed to stop his biggest threat currently.
"Great, then if there's not going to be any killing, you can get out of my house." Kant spoke these words and ended the negotiation...

Explanations to satiate your doubts:
- Varda was the same as Jacob, so I will let you think about the rest.
- The idea of lucifer wanting a child with Jacob, is not something random. Please read the whole thing, because it was inspired and adapted directly from the Bible:
Lucifer was perfect, wise, beautiful, and beautiful, vividly resplendent, and glittering. He was someone who enjoyed God-given authority, privileges, and perks.
It so happened that Lucifer rebelled against God, desiring to be like his Creator, being the first creature in which competitive thinking originated. But as Lucifer recognizes that he is not strong enough, he has the brilliant idea to have a child with someone as powerful as him, or stronger than him.
