Ilyana was stunned for a moment. Was Paollo talking about what Dexter had done a decade ago?

Although Dexter had done a lot to make her quite frustrated with all his "troubles" the worse "trouble" he had done to her was killing all those innocent people who worked under her. She couldn't understand why Paollo apologized now when he could have done it years ago. 

What made her more uncomfortable was the information she had found not too long ago where she learned Paollo had hid the child he had with his mistress and how he had coldly killed a man for his own satisfaction. Looking at the man now, she could somewhat imagine his cold demeanor as he killed someone for the sake of his own delight. He was someone who would look passive even as he killed his lifelong rival, but she was certain he would put that menacing smile as he rob the woman he love for himself.
