Screech!!!

The damn thing screeched so loud, eardrums could burst.

And some did- some eardrums of the prisoners did burst. Even though their ears were not really functional, they still felt pain and that was clear from the agonizing groans and screams and flailing.

But it was of no concern to Maria.

After all-

She’d already prepared massive spears of ice.

Normally she preferred using fire arrows but since hell was so… well, hellish, she used Ice and it was quite effective.

“I wouldn’t want to fight that thing, if I were you,” Xermohensier mumbled.

“Well, too bad,” A chuckle.

Blazing through the air-

Cluck, cluck!

The spears impaled the large devil.

But the ice melted, the wounds healed.

And the thing just glared.

“Well, that’s new,” Maria mumbled. “How do we kill it again?”

The orb groaned. It didn’t have an answer, no.
