Maria avoided all contact.
She shut herself in a room, and didn’t come out.
Barely ate anything and just-
‘Why?’
Her thoughts were rampant.
Her breath- never stable.
Always staring out her window-
Watching the city.
Always-
‘Why?’
Why was her head so filled with such intentions?
Why-
Why did she want to kill that man?
Why did she want to kill him despite knowing –
These feelings weren’t of her own?
Why-
Why couldn’t she control her own thoughts?
‘Damn it!’
Heart racing-
She sat there-
Just before the window-
Staring out.
Curtains flowing.
People going about their days down below.
Maria never wanted to be a soldier.
She never wanted to go out of her way to save people either.
It was just a farce she put on to sound credible.
All she ever wanted…
Was just to live peacefully, with her family.
To live a boring life.
Nothing special.
Just boring.
And yet-
‘But sitting here doing nothing will get me nowhere.’
