章 9: Story 6: Chapter 2

Looking down from the raised platform on the loading docks I have had my Skeletons herding the Walkers inside of the fenced-in area. Taking a sniff of the area I covered my nose with a rag covered in Vicks vapor rub wiping a small amount on my upper lip knowing it will cover up the smell of rot and death.

Waving my hand toward the ten or so Skeletons guarding the rolling gate at the back of the lot. Grabbing a pot and pan I started banging them as loud as I can gaining the attention of the hoard of Walkers pressing up on one another to get to my flesh.

Waving my hand at the ten or so Super Mummies standing on the top of the building holding their fresh kills taking their scalps and adding them to the sash hanging from their hips. They gave me a demented grin as they unceremoniously tossed their kills into the hoard down below. Kneeling on my platform I pulled out a dagger running the blade down my arm in a familiar motion drawing blood from my forearm.

As blood flooded down my arm I flicked the blood into a copper pot boiling in front of me. Going over the familiar words a deep guttural sound escaped my lips. Chanting the new ritual low and slow sounds akin to wild dogs howling in the distance along with the crashing of rocks flowed out of me. As minutes passed the boiling salt water was mixed with different agents I had grown and bled for.

The Walkers down below kept on stepping on one another as my Skeletons held back the hoard from pressing any farther. As I finished my chanting I let out a low whistle letting the skeletons know to move. Shoving the cauldron off the platform I watched as the salty liquid spilled out of the pot into the waiting trough below.

Slowly chanting feeding the familiar energy down through the cauldron into the liquid as it spilled into the trench that had been carved into the asphalt. Molten steel had been poured into the asphalt trench below leaving a solid and longer-lasting ritual circle below. Closing my eyes and feeling a pounding headache kicking in as new words filled my head I listened to the familiar sound of the crunching of bone and the smell of melting flesh. The sounds of Walkers died down as the last sound in the area was the soft whispering of the wind.

Holding my praying position I waited knowing the headache I have will turn into a body-numbing ace that will put me down for the rest of the daylight. Gritting my teeth as new spells filled my head along with the requirements for the next spell unlock cost.

Kept my eyes closed going over the new information I had just received "Fuck..." Slipped out of my mouth at the requirements for the next spell... and the next spells that will be unlocked. Crawling into my red sleeping bag zipping it up doing my best to imitate a caterpillar blocking out the cursed rays of the sun. Grabbing my Generic headache meds I had stashed in my fanny pack along with a bottle of water.

Downing the pills and the bottle I tossed it out into the bubbling mess in the loading dock taking a whiff of the rub I had on my lip. Rolling off to the side onto a small bounce house I had for situations where I was too lazy or too incapacitated to climb down off my platform. Landing with an umph escaping my mouth I heard my Mummies cackling above me. Slipping my arm out of my bag I gave those assholes a finger.

Grabbing the last item inside of my fanny pack a small shot bottle filled with vodka downed it tossing the bottle outside of my bounce house. Rolling over to the corner of the bounce house I heard the Skeletons closing down the loading bay as sleep overcame me.

-----(POV Change)----

Guillermo was called to the front of the building as they had more guests today some familiar ones. Peaking out of the new slot that had been installed into the doors he glanced back at his right hand had a grin on his face giving him a small nod. Grabbing and sliding the plate to the side he looked through the slot spotting Rick the motherfucking sheriff along with his merry band of misfits.

"Morning, Rick what brings you back to Vatos side of town?" Guillermo tried to sound laid back but the tension in the air was thick with the latest attack that happened not too long ago everyone was on edge. Some blamed Rick, but others were even quicker to point out that the guns let them hold off the attackers before the Skeletons arrived and saved them.

"Guillermo we have a lot to talk about, but first we need a place to crash before that. Is it alright with you all if we stay just for the day and night?" Ricks's voice picked up at the end looking over at their number Guillermo spotted some who he recognized some who he didn't. T-Dog didn't look as good as he did when they left skinny boarding on anorexic.

Glenn or 'the Asian boy' as Abuela had called him in their quick meeting still looked about the same. A brown-haired average woman standing behind Rick with her hands crossing her stomach as if she was sick. Two blonde women standing at the back of the group huddled next to one another both of them with streaks of tears and dirt framing their faces. Daryl standing at the back of the group looking every bit as uncomfortable as he was during their quick exchange for 'prisoners'. An older woman, a boy, and a girl no older than their early teens standing behind a bigger man holding a shotgun standing off to the side waiting and watching the exchange with narrowed eyes.

Guillermo gave one last look at the rag-tag group before letting out a sigh and slamming the slot closed. Opening the door and waving off the last few of his men he waved in the group. Standing in the doorway "You can come in but Filipe will have to check you all over before you meet folks. We don't want them getting sick." Rick looked back over his group before nodding and entering taking his hand off his holster.

One of the men ran to the back to grab Filipe as one of the only medical staff left he was the best to check them over. Closing the door to the garage the group looked around at the bullet holes inside of the garage and doors in confusion.

"What happened here?" Shane asked while checking out the area seeing fewer men than he was expecting and told there were. Rick shot him a look earning an uncaring shrug from his long-time partner.

Guillermo tensed at the reminder of the last few days. Rubbing his head the turned and looked at the group "Another group came through. Killed four of my men, along with several of the bedridden patients." Looking over at Glenn whose mouth was wide open in the shot before shaking his head. Glenn spent most of the time crouched down wiping his eyes hoping Abuela and the old man is alright, but from the shake of his head, one or both of them died during the attack.

Shane shot the group or what has left of them a look Guillermo couldn't place but he would have his me watch the ex-cop close during his stay here. Rick looked over the bullet holes littering the area going over the caliber used in the attack and muttering to himself. "Small caliber, shotguns, and one or more high powered rifles used..." Turning back to the group who only had a few revolvers and the shotguns he gave them wondering how they held them off.

Guillermo shook his head wondering if this group would even believe what had happened, but decided to tell them anyway. He waved the into a sitting room on the side with Daryl taking up the back of the group his hand tight on a pistol sitting in the front of his pants.

Once everyone was seated and given a bottle of water Guillermo went over the attack that he had pieced together from the information given to him by the rest of his group. The distraction from where the group came in at. Also, the group snuck around through a hole that the attackers had made in the second-floor windows at the back. Rick's group just sat there confused about how to take the knowledge of the arrow-shooting undead and the organized Skeletons roaming around heading the Walkers.

"Bullshit.." Daryl stood up pacing around "Ain't no fucking way those things are getting organized even if they were why would they save your group of wetbacks..." He whispered the racist remark under his breath but with how quiet the room was everyone heard him. Rick shot him a look that promised he wouldn't like the ass-chewing he was going to get, but Daryl didn't care as the new information he is processing is true they were all fucked anyway.

"It makes some sense from what I had been telling all of you" Glenn found himself the center of attention before letting out a sigh and standing up. "Over the last few runs I had done I saw some of the Skeletons and told you all about them. Nobody believed me when I talked about the missing choke points the Military had set up being gone the next time I did a run. I mean Rick you saw the tank you hid in was gone. What do you think happened to it?" Glenn sat back down with his head in his hands muttering to himself about how crazy the end of the world has become.

Andrea and T-dog both put in their two cents in agreeing with how crazy that would be but didn't refute what was said both of them had seen the Skeletons at a distance. Neither of them was able to tell what they were doing at the time. Guillermo went on the tell them the herd they had been chased by was led off to the Costco along with thousands of other undead never to be seen again. Walkers went in and what came out was Skeletons and Mummies.

As they talked about what needed to be done Rick and his group decided to stay here for a few days to regain their strength as the only real meal they had was at the Center for Disease Control and that had been short-lived. Guillermo agreed to give them some food and water in exchange some of Rick's group agreed to replace what was used by them. At this point in the meeting Filipe had given them the ok but prescribed them soft foods and plenty of water for their starvation that had already wiped out most of their fat reserves and some muscles.

Guillermo didn't let them stay out of the goodness of his heart inside he was still reeling at the deaths that happened to his group. In letting them stay he gets more bodies to protect them from anyone who sought to take them out and loot their corpses. It also added to their scavenging that was still needed to do for food, medicine, and water. Not to mention Glenn by himself was a boon to the group from the last experiences they had with one another.

Rick and Shane got together with T-dog and Daryl as the last able-bodied men in their group that survived. They discussed how to proceed before they settled in for the night. None of them were too keen on staying in Atlanta more than needed to with these new types of undead roaming around. Guillermo didn't tell them about his plan to try and meet with them not knowing how they would react to him trading with the undead, but the Costco and the Warehouses behind it would be filled with everything they would need for years to come if it wasn't for the undead he would have had raided it before this point.

A/N: Hope you enjoyed the chapter and No none of my other stories are dropped I have been burned out on most. For those asking I only write on my time off and I barely have any of that between taking care of family and working so sorry for the delays between chapters. Thanks for reading though.
