章 141: Gyzen family weapon

Sameya and Gameya caught a glimpse of me, naked and embraced by Jennifer. She wrapped her hands around me cautiously.

They rubbed their eyes and took another look. Both blushed crimson, and Gameya exclaimed at Jennifer, "Mother, what are you doing with that human, and why is he naked in your embrace?" She said in envy, attempting to look away but unable to resist her desire lust, and longing for my body.

I remained silent, observing them. "Iron cannon... sounds like a cannon from pirate movies," I remarked, while Luna gathered enough energy to stand. Jennifer pulled me closer to her chest, casting a gaze at her daughters. "What Gyzens are attacking us? Wait, that sound... was the Iron Cannon."

"Yes, Mother, that sound was from the Iron Cannon, and they are demanding to hand over the human to them, or they will wipe us out!" Sameya clarified with fear.

"Where is your father and Lord Suquen? Have they sent our soldiers to fight them?" Jennifer inquired.

Both sisters remained silent, prompting Jennifer to sense that something was amiss. She grew more concerned and demanded, "Tell me what happened! Why are you both silent? Answer me now!"

Sameya, trembling, finally spoke, "Mother, Father, and Ano are dead. Their corpses lie in the farther work palace, and Lord Suquen's estate is in ruins. But we didn't see their bodies. Yogan and Lord Suqen are both missing."

"What? Who did all this?"

"We don't know. Almost all our guards are wiped out, and wherever we tread, there are their corpses," Gameya said with a tearful expression.

"How did this happen? Who killed my husband? And Lord Suquen is not here. Our guards are dead..." Jennifer mumbled in a low voice, struggling to comprehend the fall of her family and the disappearance of her head.

"Huh! Yogan!" Sameya shouted loudly as she noticed Yogan's headless corpse lying behind us. Gameya was also shocked to see her brother dead.

"I killed him," confessed Jennifer.

"Mother, why did you kill your own son? How could you do that?" Sameya shouted at Jennifer.

"That bastard hurt my human baby. How could I let him live after his unforgivable deed?" Jennifer said, caressing my hair affectionately.

"What—" Gameya interrupted her. "That bastard deserved it, Mother. How dare he touch that adorable human with his filthy hands?" She snorted and gazed at her brother's lifeless body with a satisfied smile.

"What is this Iron Cannon? Explain to me," I inquired.

Everyone looked at me, and judging from my innocent expression, no one expected me to inquire about any questions. However, receiving no answers, I locked eyes with Janifer and calmly said, "Tell me about this Iron cannon."

Initially hesitant, Janifer, under the weight of my serious gaze, finally spoke, "As you wish, Master."

"What master?" "What master?" Both sisters questioned simultaneously, their stunned expressions mirroring the realization that Janifer was acknowledging me as her master. The unexpected revelation hung in the air, leaving the room filled with a palpable tension.

"It is a deadly weapon made by an unknown knowledge. The power it holds within itself is unparalleled; no one can stand against it. One shot can destroy thousands of armies. Lord Suquen spent centuries trying to understand that weapon's knowledge. We can't underestimate this; we have to leave this mansion," Janifer explained, the weight of urgency in her voice.

"Why do they want my Onii-chan? What do they want to do with him?" asked Luna with a sulked look.

"Why do you need to know? Just keep quiet in the corner—" Janifer began to refuse Luna, but I quickly interrupted.

"Jenifer, answer her," I said in a serious voice, making Janifer startle.

She turned her head toward Luna and said, "The Gyzen family's daughter came to our mansion yesterday and demanded to hand over the human to them. But Lord Suquen didn't accept her request and kicked her away. They might come here to take revenge for her daughter's embarrassment, and they will threaten us with their formidable Iron cannon." The grave reality of the situation unfolded, prompting a sense of urgency and the need for decisive action.

"What are you going to do then? Are you going to hand over my Onii-chan in fear of that cannon?" Luna's voice turned cold, silencing everyone in the room. The tension heightened as the gravity of the situation sank in. Whether Janifer chose to give me to them or not, the outcome seemed inevitable.

"No, I will never give my cute master to that old woman who blindly worships our goddess. She wants to make my master suffer in every possible way, but I will never let her old witch do that," Janifer roared as she tightened her grip around my belly, asserting her protectiveness.

Sameya and Gameya observed their mother holding me possessively, as if I were her property.

"Then what do you intend to do? Run away?" asked Luna.

"Yes, we have to run away. I have the Forestgate Amulet; I took this from my husband's locker. Using this, we can travel to another realm in a short time," Janifer declared, revealing a shining stone she retrieved from under her lower attire. The room buzzed with a sense of urgency as the plan to escape and seek refuge in another realm took shape.

I was surprised to see that she had the Forestgate Amulet. "She had this all this time? No wonder her husband's locker was filled with trash; she stole it from there."

Standing beside Gameya, Sameya, and Luna, I was taken aback by the sight of the Forestgate Amulet. They looked at it with longing, as if envisioning it as jewelry. In my original world, women would probably adorn themselves with such a big stone, hanging it around their necks or on their fingers. However, one thing caught my attention—the Forestgate Amulet looked different from what I saw in Suquen's hands when he was escaping.

"She took this stone from that bastard; that's why I couldn't find it in that locker. But it... it's less shiny than it looked on that old man's hand. I hope it works." I took the stone from Jennifer's hands and proceeded to dress up my attire. She was surprised when I took the stone from her hand but didn't utter any words.

Everyone kept their eyes locked on me until my body was covered in clothes. I turned around and noticed they were looking at me with flushed faces, while Luna tried to hide her blush. I stared at the stone for a few minutes and then smashed it down on the ground, but nothing happened.

"What! Why didn't the white portal open?" I wondered aloud as I smashed the amulet again, this time with more force. However, nothing happened. The stone didn't shatter; the Forestgate Amulet remained intact, but a hole appeared in the ground where I had struck it.

Frustrated, I turned to Janifer and asked, "Why is the portal not opening? Is the stone broken?"

"I don't know; it was supposed to work, but then it shattered into pieces... Wait, that stone probably doesn't have the Ice Goddess's aura; other than that, there is no other explanation," Janifer said as she walked towards me to examine the stone. Luna, having dressed up, grabbed my waist with relief, while Sameya and Gameya approached, trying to get a peek, and I didn't mind their presence.

"So, you're telling me that we need Sendra's aura to make this Forestgate Amulet work?" I asked in my usual cute voice.

"Yes, and we can find that Goddess's fountain of aura inside the Ice Palace, where our Goddess used to live," Janifer explained, emphasizing that only the aura from the fountain could activate the amulet.

I gazed back at the stone and then turned to Luna. "Onii-chan, we don't have any other choice but to go to the Ice Palace and absorb that aura. Only then can we finally return home. If we waste any more time, only death will be trailing behind us," Luna stated, her tone serious.

She was right; Luna always analyzed the factors in any situation and found a way to escape or a solution, making her a genius in my eyes. "Okay, we have to go to the Ice Palace."

(End note: I'm planning to speed up the story. If I continue uploading at this pace, I don't think the story will progress further.)
