Iris didn't actually ask for the fruit, she only mentioned it by passing, because suddenly she wanted it, as if her mouth was watering when she imagined eating that fruit. 

But she definitely understood if she couldn't have it. Therefore, she wouldn't have imagined Lu would make a big fuss over it when she was sleeping. 

After Lu couldn't get the answer he wanted from Redmond, Ethan and Jace, he went to look for Lou as per the beta suggestion. 

"This is nonsense, why would Iris ask for that fruit?" Redmond frowned. This was not like her at all to actually bother other people and ask for something ridiculous when she knew they were in the middle of something more important than fruit.
