"Why are you running away?" Aliana panted heavily, once they were out of the tavern.

"You are the one who started running first," Ethan retorted.

It was not clear who had suggested running away first the moment they saw their enraged Alpha. They were mortified to see the killing intent in Cane's eyes, knowing they were at fault for taking Iris to the tavern.

"Do you think Cane will kill us?" Ethan grimaced. He really didn't want to deal with Cane right now.

"There is a high possibility he will do that."

"You sound so optimistic with your answer…"

It was already late at night, but this area had never been quiet, since all the warriors used to wind up here after their shifts were over.

"What are our chances?" Ethan contemplated. They couldn't avoid their alpha forever.
