Erwin took a deep breath, hoping to break the awkward silence between him and Valara. He cleared his throat and asked, "So, what's it like working for the professor?"

Valara looked at him for a moment, and Erwin could feel his heart skip a beat. Her expression remained unchanged as she continued walking, her strides long and confident. Erwin felt like a small child trying to keep up with her, and he was failing miserably.

"She's a great teacher," Valara finally said in a monotone voice, devoid of any emotion.

Erwin nodded, trying to think of something else to say. "And what about the academy? It's so beautiful."

Valara's expression remained unchanged, but she finally spoke again. "It's one of the best magic academies in the world. You should feel honored to be here."

Erwin wasn't sure if she was being sarcastic or not, so he decided to drop the subject.
