At two in the morning, Mathew woke up for he heard some strange noises coming from downstairs. His body tensed and his eyes searched in the darkness for something hard. After failing to find this said hard thing, he gave up on searching and just grabbed the lamp by his bed.

A thief!

It was pretty obvious that he hadn’t fully woken up, because if he had, he would know that there was no thief, but just his dumbass son who has insomnia!

But Mathew failed to remember this.

Walking slowly so the thief wouldn’t hear him, Mathew went downstairs, the lamp being held in his hands as if it was a bat.

Who dares to break in my house! Just wait, you brat!
