章 2: Chronos
The river of time flows ever onward,
never pausing in its steady march.
Like the gentle flow of a great river,
time carries us all in its steady grasp.
Like the leaves on the trees,
we have swept along in its current,
ever-changing, ever-moving.
But though time may pass,
the memories of the past
remain etched forever in our hearts.
Chronos' ability was unique, she could traverse the river of time, but only in one direction. Like a leaf caught in a current, she could not turn back or change the course of her journey. She was limited to traveling forward, ever moving towards the future, Though she couldn't go back to the past, she could branch into alternate timelines, exploring the possible paths of the future, but she could never return to the original timeline she left.
Chronos was a master manipulator, a charismatic leader at the helm of the nefarious organization known as "REX" They preyed upon the vulnerable, offering false hope to those in despair, promising a return to Earth through deceit and manipulation. Chronos, pulled the strings of their willing followers, turning them into apostles of REX, spreading their false beliefs like a virus.
Orange broke the silence, "Listen up, everyone. You can now access your stats just by thinking about them." As many people frantically open up their stats and view their own personal information, a wave of excitement and curiosity swept through the room
Orange continued, "On average, a participant has a combined stat of 30. Those above 40 can be considered special, and those above 70, you can be considered a monster.

Chronos' combined stat of over 100, can be considered godly.
Stat can also be increased through the use of special items, hypertrophy training, or by being a follower of the nine celestial gods, or having a direct lineage with them as Chronos does.
As people compared stats and flexed at one another, someone shouted, "Wow! She's a lineage of a god!" People rushed towards Chronos, her stats being projected across the room, as more and more people gathered around and tried to ingratiate themselves with her. The room was filled with murmurs and whispers as people marveled at her impressive stats, some even going so far as to bow down in reverence.
Chronos looked around, taking in the scene while pretending to be embarrass with a bit of confusion.
"Thank you, everyone," she said, trying to sound gracious. "But I am just like you, a participant in this program. I may have a unique skill set, but it is only through working together that we can achieve our goals."
As Chronos spoke, the crowd began to calm down, and people started to return to their groups, discussing strategies and planning for the future.
*Manipulation [ S ] 30 Mana: This skill allows the player to manipulate NPCs (non-player characters) and other players, giving them the ability to bend them to their will and use them to their advantage. It also grants the player the ability to read and understand the emotions and motivations of others, making them more persuasive in negotiations and social interactions. High-level players with this skill can even manipulate powerful NPCs and bosses, giving them a significant edge in battles and quests.
Limitation: it can only be activated once every 100 hours and can only store up to two charges.

As she cast Manipulation onto herself, Chronos spoke quietly but firmly, her words carrying throughout the room, "Everyone, let's work together and get back to Earth. With the power of all of us combined, nothing can stop us." Some people were immediately drawn to her words and believed in her vision, while others remained skeptical and hesitant to trust in her leadership and abilities since she looked like a fragile high school girl.
The current state of the room is that the majority of the people are split into four groups, each with its distinct agenda and leadership. The first group, led by Tony, a brutish and intimidating gang leader, is composed of 23 individuals who are united by their desire for strength and dominance. The second group, The largest group was led by Chronos, a time traveler who had strategically allied with the strongest individual boasting the highest stats from the very beginning, 27 individuals who are drawn to her powerful abilities and the promise of a better future. The third group, led by Zach, a famous internet streamer, includes 21 individuals who are drawn to his fame and online presence. The fourth group, led by Brick, an army Major, comprises 17 individuals who are drawn to his fame and status. The remaining individuals have chosen to remain in rogue groups, either working independently or in small groups with their own goals and objectives.
Orix waved and greeted Chronos with a friendly hello, and she smiled softly back at him, her smile was charming, and it could melt any heart. He once had feelings for her, but she never reciprocated them. To her, he was just another tool to gain influence and attention. Orix was just another meat shield, but as he looked at her, he feel a twinge of bitterness, his old feelings had been nothing more than a one-sided infatuation. Orix had opted not to align with any more groups and had chosen to remain a lone rogue. Chronos merely glanced at Orix, dismissing him as a minor player who met his demise in the very first stage.
