章 81: A new dungeon discovery (8)
I arrived at where Mio was first and told her about how Jayden claimed all the attention of the cursed corpses and we needed to re-group and kill all of the cursed corpses together. Mio nodded in agreement and we ran to Iris, I told her the same so we ran to the walls together.
"Jayden *sigh* that stupid boy, really. He will get us all killed one day I swear." Mio shook her head in disapproval towards Jayden. "He is always rushing in head first and messing things up. Should I hit him?"
"Haha that would be a sight to see! I'd love to see that." Iris said with a small chuckle.
"Do that once we have killed the cursed corpses and scanned the whole area." I said as we neared the walls.
"Can you jump it?" I asked.
"Probably not." Iris said.
"I might be able to." Mio said.
"Alright then." I said and picked up Iris before jumping up the wall and placing her down with our group.
"Where did you come from?! You almost gave me a heart attack!" Tess exclaimed as she placed a hand over her heart and bent down a little.
"I'll be back." I said as I jumped down to pick up Mio and bring her up.
"You didn't need to do this." Mio chuckled.
"If you couldn't jump it then this is the easiest way. We don't want to waste our MP." I said with my deadpan expression.
I landed back on the wall and placed Mio down.
"Since Jayden has decided to not listen and draw lots of attention, we now have to fight every corpse here without the element of surprise. Do you all feel as if you can take them on? If not then jump down and run to Catherine." I said looking at our group.
"We will all stay." Tess said earning a nod from the rest of the group.
"Alright. There isn't much of a plan for situations like this that I can think of at the top of my head but we should be able to split up the hoard into smaller groups and we can split off as well. If we go through with this though then we need to split up our power so each group is about even." I said as everyone nodded.
"Tess, Nova and Terry you will form one group, Mio, Adam and Iris will form another. Catherine I doubt will want to join us. I'll go solo." I said.
"Against a whole group of cursed corpses? Even if it's a third of them that still doesn't split up our power into about equal amounts!" Adam said with a hint of anger in his tone.
"Calm down, Kiera is the strongest here." Iris said.
"I thought that was Mio?" Adam questioned.
Iris sighed, "Mio and I were beaten by Kiera in the 'hard tournament'. We were the strongest up until that point though." Iris sighed once again and shook her head, "I don't doubt Kiera's strength and if she is in danger then we can rush to help."
"Tsk, fine, whatever. I'm not trying to be rude or anything I'm just wanting to make sure we don't lose a member." Adam said, "Let's do that then."
"Alright. I'll split them off into three groups. Once I've split off the first group then they will most likely try join back together with the rest of the hoard so I want Mio's group to jump in and stop them. Then once the second group is done I want Tess's group to fight them. I'll move the last third further away and then we just need to massacre them." I spoke before crouching down ready to jump off the walls.
"I assume the ones that used ranged weaponry are dealt with?" I asked.
"Ah- yes, Jayden killed most of them though." Terry said with his ear twitching a little, focusing on the noise the hoard was creating as they inches closer and closer to the walls we were perched upon.
"Get ready." I said as I launched myself off the walls, leaving the big I previously was on cracked.
With the amount of strength I put into that leap I easily made it to the front of the hoard.
I transformed Adonis into a long sword that was made with a black coloured metal and a purple glow was down the centre made with purple flames and lightning. The sword gave off an aura of death since I used the dark magic around it mixed with bloodlust/killing intent.
I heard someone say from back at the wall, it was Mio, "I've never seen that sword before? Is that also apart of her transformable weapon thing? Tess I'm sure you know, can you tell us?"
"That's Kiera's weapon artifact of sorts. It's imbedded in her right palm and she can transform it into any weapon she can think of, the strength of the weapon increases with her power and the weapon changes to best suit the state she is in." Tess replied.
"Damn. Where the hell did she get that sort of heaven defying weapon!?" Terry exclaimed.
"Haha, that I cannot tell you."
They stopped speaking as I could tell that they were paying attention now so I begun splitting off the groups.
'I think the most effective way to do this would be by using a long range attack and split them that way. I'll use fire so they won't want to walk over it if I mix in the aura from my dark magic and bloodlust, making it seem like the aura of death. Then I'll guide them to different locations.'
Putting my plan into action I spread my [Black flames] around my blade and imagined that when I slashed downwards that it would create a crescent shape of black flame and fly of in the direction of my blades strike.
As soon as I slashed down with my blade at full strength a crescent of black flame went rushing forwards at incredible speeds. The black flames left a trail of fire in its wake that weren't black though, they were pure white flames.
'I didn't expect that.' I thought to myself as the flames collided with multiple cursed corpses and killing them until the flames dispersed. The trail of pure white fire on the other hand stayed.
I did the same vertical slashing movement to separate the last part of the cursed corpses.
I ran to the one furthest on the left and grabbed all their attention. Their heads snapped in my direction and began charging towards me so I ran away with them trailing behind me.
"Mio!" I shouted, signalling for her group to come down and deal with this group.
Mio, Adam and Iris jumped down and rushed to the group of cursed corpses and took their attention off of me.
Running back to the cursed corpses I had left I spread flames around the middle group, trapping them in. I took the ones that weren't enclosed by my flames and guided them away from the rest.
Once at a safe distance away I called for Tess's group to come take over, "Tess!"
Tess, Terry and Nova jumped down and begun fighting with the group I gave them. Seeing all this I ran back to the ones I had closed off in fire.
Once reaching them I dispelled my flames.
"*crk* you alone will take us on? What a foolish *crk* mistake little girl." One cursed corpse said as it leaped forwards.
I decided not to dodge and let it get within an inch of me before…
*BOOM*
A whirlwind of flames erupted from the ground and incinerated the corpse that had attacked. Using the flames of the whirlwind, I created multiple swords, spears, bullets, arrows, scythes and other weapons before bringing them all down on the corpses, raining down flames that could kill them if they didn't dodge or successfully block.
"What mistake?" I said, no emotion traceable on my face making the corpses shiver.
"*crk* don't underestimate this human."
"Agreed *crk* she is strong.."
"We must dispose of quickly or we will *crrrrk*..
The corpse never got to finish what it was saying before it died to me shattering its crystallised heart with a spear of flames.
"Are you going to fight or talk?"
