Desmond woke up again in his own bed. He only recognized where he was at by the hangings on the walls and various decorations around the room. They were all his things. Despite that, the room still felt foreign to him. Once he was fully awake, he slowly pushed himself up into a sitting position on the mattress. There was still a buzzing left in his head. At least he didn’t feel as overwhelmed as he had just before he fainted.

“Hey, are you feeling any better?” The voice that came from the doorway to his room belonged to Ryan.
