章 16: Chapter 16: Home Again

The next morning, Grayson and Jude stand in shock, staring at Jude’s chest. Grayson reaches a hand out, running his fingers along the white scars that had not been there just the night before.

“Does this…hurt?” Grayson asks, hesitantly.

Jude shakes his head. “No, I feel completely…normal. As normal as I can be, I guess.”

“And your arm?”

Jude lifts his right arm, stretching out his shoulder. The movement is fluid, no hesitation or hisses of pain.

They look at each other.

“This— This is good. You’re all better! I mean, I should have expected it, right? You did tell me you heal fast. Four days is probably normal for wolf…guys. Is that an offensive term?"

"As the only wolf guy I know? I'm going to say it's fine." Jude pauses. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah…I'm alright. I'm not the one who was hurt, after all. How are you feeling about the scars, though?"
