With suspicion and curiosity, Alex made his way to the kitchen. 

There, he saw the figure of a man holding a knife, chopping at some vegetables with a serious look on his face. 

It was none other than Don, the restaurant's chef. 

As if feeling the presence of someone beside him in the kitchen, Don paused his hand holding the knife and turned around. 

"Oh, Boss! You're here early!"

Wiping his hands on his apron, Don put down the knife and approached Alex. 

Nodding at him, Alex said, "You're also early. What are you doing all alone here?"

Don looked back at the counter where he was earlier and Alex followed his gaze. 

"I was trying to come up with a new menu, Boss."

"New menu? Is there a need for it?"

Turning his gaze to Alex, Don nodded, "Yes, Boss."
